Default Rokon- Not even in A team. Is he playing in ODI?

*Enamul is captain instead of Rokon.
*Rokon not even in the team.
*Tushar Imran is in the A team too.

Conclusion: Rokon will play in the ODI series.

Are you basing your conclusion on the hypothesis that Rokon not going with the A team means he is even below that group? What was he doing in the BCCB XI then?

Exactly. Since he saved their s he deserves to be thrown out of the team.

Even I am surprised that Al shahriar is not in the A squad, I don't believe any one should come in to the national squad with out playing well in the A squad but we need to give him a chnace.

But I am looking forward to seeing Shamsur Rahman, Nafees Ahmed, I here Rahim is the next keeper, I wanna also see Shahadat and Shafaq al Jaber excel too. Things are looking good its just time before we dominate. Step by step we will get there.

I think a BCB XI team will go to Duleep trophy (P.S., why is it spelled Duleep, and why not Deeleep - I think the pronounciation is Deeleep trophy)

Yah rokon has no chance, because-
1. we dont like him
2. main selector does not like him, because he was out of the national team due to young rokon good performance on that time.
3. whenever he does something even save a game we value that match classless,
4. rokon has no high class relative,
5. Rokon always got chance by his performance play always with pressure in case bad score out of the team because he is not ragin, aftab or etc.
6. no one can say anything to selector at the momment because we just win the test with most strong team in the world.
7. we can not appreciate a player good performance.
thank u bangladesh.

it doesn't matter what "we people" want. "we people" aren't the selectors.

who would rokon replace? if he came in at 6, should he replace aftab or alok kapali who is currently behind aftab? does rokon want to open the ODI team again - we may have an opening there. He probably does not want to open test side, we already have nafis entrenched in the stroke-playing opener role.

So before saying he should be recalled to the national squad (13-14 player rotation), you also have to justify why someone ahead of him should be kicked out just because they had a couple of low scores.

thanks

I have just to say one word, "Alok".

What he has done recently (domestic or warm-up games) to justify his inclusion back in the team that Rokon haven't done?

alok hasn't done much either. imo, none of these two have any chance unless someone from the national team "highly underperforms".

Good selection so far.
Rokon isnot in full form yet. To run in one match is not enough.

yes, exactly. a 150 odd inning against a weak league team is not enough to get back to the national team. As for his inning against Zim, I'd say he has to repeat that performance a couple times before claiming a place in the national team. Many a time we have brought in players based on one or two performances, and they have disappointed us. Same goes for Alok - one or two performances are not enough.

I remember when Ashraful came in to the side, not only was he scoring big in the domestic leagues, but he also scored something in excess of a hundred and fifty in a single inning against a very strong Australian Cricket Academy side. Alok and Rokon should be included under similar criteria.

Why does he have to repeat that performance a couple of times? Has any Bangladeshi player ever repeated that kind of performance against any test team? Have they even done it once? Even Ashraful's awesome innings(although against a better team) wasn't that destructive.

Can you imagine how the Zimbabuwe's players will feel when they will see him walking in? Yes, those 18 year old kids with impressionable mind will be terrified.

Why do you expect more from people you don't like?

Because Rokon has proved us wrong too many times, and his inning came at a time when we already have a bunch of players who are doing pretty well. There is nobody in the current team who can be dropped to bring Rokon in, unless he totally convinces everyone that he's not going to screw up this time.
