^^ that's great. Good to see him picking up wickets.

Who were the batsmen he dismissed?

Too many to go through lol. Just happy he's consistently taking wickets, think he's clearly the best 50 over pacer at current that is outside of the national squad.

Because there are so many places for the ODI team, it would be wise to set-up A games, and arrange more ODI matches for Bangladesh. That includes more matches away to Ireland, Scotland, Zimbabwe, West Indies etc. but it will allow us to rest some of our senior players, and give the likes of Hider, Liton, Nurul etc. a chance to showcase their skills. The main formats should be our priority first and foremost.

Our best 2nd XI for ODIs look like this: Imrul, Liton, Anamul, Mominul, Shanto, Nasir, Nurul, Arafat, Taijul, Al Amin and Hider...reserves...Shafiul, Arafat, Saifuddin and Mehedi.

Afif should get in ahead of taijul or Arafat. Not sure imrul really needs to be in the A team set up either, might be better taking a youngster like zakir hasan who can bat top order and keep. Also I'd have saifuddin in the xi ahead of al amin. The younger al amin, the all rounder he's decent as well, worth giving him some experience. Shafiul, shouldn't be anywhere near imo, not the national team or the A team.

Fizz, taskin, rony, saifuddin, we should build our pace attack around them they're ready to step up and take the mantle, Rubel is still decent al Amin might do alright if he's ever let back in, but at current these are the best pacers. Get rid of the likes of shafiul.

Liton Das is a must in the main formats. He's definitely ranked along the lines of Tamim, Sarker and Imrul. Competition for places is fierce now. Also, provides a wicketkeeping option, and definitely better than Mushfiqur behind-the-stumps. Also, I will increase the squad whenever Bangladesh has a series/tournament to 16 now. Ideally, a 16-man ODI squad should consist of Tamim, Sarker, Imrul, Shabbir, Shakib, Mushfiqur, Mahmudullah, Nasir, Mosaddek, Liton, Rubel, Taskin, Fizz, Mashrafe, Mehedi and Hider.

I really think that Liton is hungry....he feels that he belongs in the national team.

His class is evident.

A lot of people said Liton is too leg sided, while I agree he seemed to prefer leg side but if you look at his batting you can see this guy is supremely talented. Averages over 40 in both list A and first class (50+ in first class actually) but the thing that impressed me the most is his timing, he never bashes the ball, it is almost like a mere touch and the ball always races away. It shows he has time in his hands and a good eye. Almost like Shabbir, these guys are our future. We need to get him back in the squad and give him sufficient run. I think if he comes good Bangladesh can aim the next leg in rankings.

One of the best timers of the ball i've ever seen is David Gower, have a look at his batting if you haven't.

Banglar "hulk" Ziaur 85ball 103.
If only he batted more straight. The power he possesses is what BD desperately need at 7-8 plus he can bowl wicket to wicket handy overs. I remember asia cup 2014 he was one of the better bowlers for BD.

Sabbir is a finisher. Liton is a more genuine batsman.

Domestic performance is a good indicator to an extent.

We should do this. Go send a disguised national team(like AUS did with Sri Lanka tour, while their main team toured india) send off to zimbabwe, people who perform, mark em and try to fast track them to the ODI/Test Side.

This way we maintain our relationship with Zimbabwe, and our sideliners get some much needed match practice

A team of

Anamul
Litton
Mominul
Shanto
Nasir
Nurul
Saifuddin
Hider
Taijul
shafiul
Al amin

Is a good A team, he'll go back 12 years and it'll beat the Rafique and mashrafe team of 05 in a series

I would have Saif Hassan, Subashis Roy & Arafat Sunny instead of Shafiul and Taijul. Also Al-Amin Hossain would be my 12th man.

Liton Das
Anamul Haque
Mominul Haque
Saif Hassan
Nazmul Hossain Shanto
Nasir Hossain
Nurul Hasan
Abu Hider
Arafat Sunny
Mohammad Saifuddin
Subashis Roy

12. Al-Amin Hossain

Yes well nasir has done well, he's batted at 4 I think most of this tournament and he's actually finished off quite a few matches so kudos to him.

Saifuddin, reckon he gets a lot of batsmen out bowled or lbw.

Nasir Hossain with 3 wickets and another half century. Gazi is leading the points table beating Abahani.

Another reason Nasir Hossain should have been in England. Nasir's crucial breakthroughs helped Bangladesh beat New Zealand just last week!
