Health and Safety: Tips for you!
Hello my BanglaCricket mates! Hope you are all enjoying a healthy and safe life. Though, sometimes it's very difficult to maintain a healthy life due to heavy work load, especially for BC fans like Nadim, Javed, GB and some others who works very hard day in day out (school in days and BC at night!). Just to help you a bit on this regard, I will write few tips in a weekly basis on different health and safety related issues. Please be vocal if you like it.
And, you can write too
Tips: Week One
Protect yourself and your family’s skin from the sun by following these 5 key rules:
1. Seek shade!
2. Slip on a shirt
3. Slap on a hat and sunglasses
4. Slop on sunscreen
5. Slurp on water
While we make a point to Seek, Slip, Slap, Slop and Slurp on sunny days, these rules apply on cloudy days too. Up to 80% of the sun’s rays can penetrate light clouds, mist and fog. Also beware of sunlight that reflects off sand, concrete and water - up to 85% of the sun’s harmful rays can bounce back at you from these surfaces.
SEEK out shade: Try to stay out of the mid-day sun and find shade either from trees, buildings, porches or umbrellas that you can use at the beach and in the backyard.
SLIP on a shirt: Long-sleeved shirts protect the vulnerable areas such as arms and shoulders. Clothing should be opaque and lightweight. UV rays can transfer through clothing if you can see through the fabric.
SLAP on a hat and sunglasses: A hat protects the top of the head and also protects the nose and the tops of ears, which are susceptible to sunburn. Look for hats that have a wide brim or have a flap at the back to cover the ears and neck. Eyes should also be covered. Look for sunglasses with stickers that say "100% of UVA/UVB protection". The lenses should cover the eyes.
SLOP on sunscreen: Sunscreen is not intended to increase your sun exposure time but it provides increased protection during periods of unavoidable sun exposure. Look for products carrying the Canadian Dermatology Association’s logo. Choose a broad-spectrum sunscreen that blocks both UVA and UVB rays and has a SPF (Sun Protection Factor) of 30 or more. Apply sunscreen at least 15 minutes before going out into the sun and reapply every two hours and after swimming or as directed on the bottle.
SLURP water. Stay well hydrated. Drink fluids regularly throughout the day, particularly if you are outside in the sun and/or enjoying physical activity. Being thirsty is a sign that that your body is already dehydrated so drink water often!

Good Thread. My two cents.
Common Body Language Mistakes
Quote:
The Head Tilt
The head tilt is an ancient sign of listening, yet it is often seen in the workplace as a sign of agreement. It also can be misconstrued as acquiescence or flirting.
Inappropriate Clothes
Our body movements aren't the only things sending silent signals to our co-workers, bosses or clients. Low-cut shirts, short skirts, too much makeup and even overwhelming perfume can give the message that you are not to be taken seriously.
Minimizing Yourself
Women tend to go out of their way to make themselves smaller. They keep their legs and hands together,
Smiling Too Much
While smiling is a wonderful way to make others feel comfortable, women tend to overdo it.
Weak Handshake
A handshake communicates one of three things to the person with whom you are shaking,
The Partial-Arm Cross
Many women stand with one arm crossed, hugging the other hanging by her side. Don't do it.
Touching Hair, Face or Jewelry
At best, playing with one's hair, twirling a piece of jewelry or touching one's face can be read as a lack a confidence;

Get together with a few of your male buddies, preferably large and muscular, strip down and wrestle each other to the ground. Fun activity, plenty of exercise and nice male bonding session.

Unless someone is smelling real bad or gassing, then option one if favorable.
LOL, you reminded me a Seinfeld episode.

umm.. How do I not do that? I'm serious! I'm one of those people who's always smiling...its just the way my face is :P unless I'm really annoyed at something or I'm doing some random pose for a photo with mates and stuff, but other than that I'm always smiling...and now its a bad thing...sort of? I am a very happy person.. I can't help it!
