Shahadat is our brett Lee and Munaf is not as quick as his much hyped debut suggested.
Anyway even Mohammad Sami is way quicker than Munaf.
I have seen one 144 km/h delivery by Munaf though the avg was 135 km/h but it was reverse swinging at 144 km/h so Shahadat should be reverse swinging soon. I was watching both Shahadat and Munaf bowl as two test matches were played at the same time. However Shahadat has always been my favourite but before his debut and after his debut taposh was favoured by many .... and all of us should realise now that Shahadat has the heart of being a fast bowler whereas taposh was medium fast at his best. So there is no comparision. He can be expensive at times but then again Brett Lee is always expensive compared to Mcgrath and other bowlers but because of his sheer ability to intimidate batsmen he is always playing when he is fit. Same should be the case with Shahadat because he is the fastest we have and in Aust, English or bouncy pitches he should be an automatic selection.
Can anyone please confirm whether he clocked any delivery over 140 km/h in this series.

Bowling speeds were not being shown in the live telecast of Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka series ( tests as well as ODIs). So no one can confirm or refute the speeds achieved by any bowlers in this series.
On the other hand, speeds are being shown in the India vs England series.
As such, it is futile to discuss who is quicker than whom.

i don't know who esle might have noticed it as well, as Shahadat's bowling reminds of Javagal Srinath of India. The way he charges to deliver the ball and the lifting of his hands right before delivering are much similar to Srinath's.
Anyone agrees?

I think the question to be asked is what could Rajib contribute to Bangladeshi cricket. I think a lot !
That is what matters.

eventhough they didn't show shahadat's speed, my best guess would be he was bowling around 135-140ks.... i was watching two games at the same time and I am just guessing comparing his speed to the other bowlers speed which was shown in ind-eng series.....

In reality, Munaf isnt anyone to be considered as a standard, other than new face fast/medium bowler. Then again in a country like India where they dont produce any fast bowlers its a great news. So it is for us as well in respect to Shahadat.
Shahadat did bowl around 80 miles+ /140lm ish during his England tour. He claims he did have 90 mph bowling and broke some dudes helmet.. but I dont think thats a confirmed event.

Shahadat is our fastest bowler but that really dosent say much.
He's quickest is prolly 137 km but thats still medium pace.
Even Lasith Malinga is quicker than him. Malinga can get around 145 km I beleive.
But we all know speed is nothing without the rest of the package.
Look at Shane Bond. His inswinging yorkers at 140 km are unplayable.
We all know the basics of good line and length, pace variation swinging the ball both ways, reverse swing, yorkers bouncers you have to have the whole package if you want to be a an effective bowler.
If I were to come up with the perfect fast bowler he would have
McGrath and Pollock's accuracy
Shane Bond's pace and Simon Jones' swing ability
