I know that many players are holding back from committing to BPL2 until the money is cleared for the staff and players from BPL1.

As the illustrious Mustafa Kamal proudly claimed on June 9th: "The BCB will pay all outstanding monies so no one needs to worry" November 20th now and this has not happened.

Some players will put their name in for auction I am sure. The majority are unlikely to whilst money remains unpaid.

If the franchises haven't cleared it by now, it's fairly evident they are not going to. Over to the BCB (as it was on June 9th) to clear the mess. My fear is, as it always has been, that payments are only made if there are severe consequences for those not paying....

Duronto Rajshahi and Dhaka Gladiators, the two Bangladesh Premier League franchises in danger of being thrown out, looked to have survived after paying a large sum of their dues, said the officials.

Quote:
‘We have received all the due money from Duranto Rajshahi and the Dhaka gladiators have also paid almost all of their dues,’ said Mahbub Anam.

The first season was clearly rushed but hope the staff and players like you received your full due because I as a Bangladesh fan really want this BPL to continue considering it helps our players competing along and against the best in the world also gaining confidence something we lacked a lot before the BPL.

Reading an email claiming ALL the players have now been paid.. I can say that several thousands of $$$ are STILL missing, and the staffs are missing money as well.

I personally have had no official correspondence from the BPL or the franchise, and no communication about clearing the amounts.

No offence but instead of awarding two lakh taka for players in an ODI who should be doing their job in the first place, how about clearing the BPL debt from February first? If bonuses can instantly be awarded for success, why not pay up on contracts that are still broken?

They stopped communicating with me in June and have not responded since.

We all want to come back and play/coach. The answer is in the hands of those in charge.

Thanks to all the well-wishers but I can confirm I am NOT returning to coach a BPL team and defend the title. I have not been asked. #Chins

Why would a defending champion want to go for a different formula when they were "successful" with it in the first place?

Are DG dumb or is it politics? Feel for Ian he won DG the title in the first season and now in the second season of Bpl they wanna hire some top coach. Lol. What jokers.

Ian apply for Sylhet Royals head coach role if it's possible, we need a good passionate coach like you

They clearly don't want to pay my $20,000 that is still missing from BPL1.

I wish all teams well... the planning that went into last year's squad was well done and the tactics were great. Understanding what to do and how to do it is the key.
