Tamim might be disappointing but the fact is he's much better than our other top order batsmen as we saw in this match. The likes of Imrul, SN, Junaid and Nazimuddin have no future in the national team. Our top order depth is horrible

For the next match drop imrul, bat mushy at 3 and play anamul as keeper, and I'd bat both hom and anamul ahead of riyad.

Lol, we should ask BCB to send us four tickets, maybe some of us can replace the four of them.

Man we should park the criticism. I see a lot of Tamim hate all over the place. But at least he is scoring something. Compare his current form to his clueless time towards the beginning of the year. Riyad also despite his careless scored sth.

Do agree on Kayes. Maybe Nasir should get another game before we put his place in question. Right now we dont have alternatives. If Kayes goes, it ll be Anamul. But other than that we dont have much choice.

What would happen if we sent mokhles, abdul, hashmot to replace three of those?
we would lose all the games and make a low ranked WI look like a super strong team. We would look badly out of depth and make poor shot selection at crucial times.

in summary nothing substantial

Emni bowling line up toothless tar upor 1 ta bowler kom khelay. Ajob game strategy. I'd rather take 1 more bowler to make bowling line up balanced. No point of playing 7 batsmen when neither can play properly.

I would like to drop Shamsu, Imrul and Rubel. Bring in Anamul, Robiul and Shafiul.

1. Tamim
2. Anamul
3. Mominul
4. Mushy
5. Nasir
6. Shuvagata
7. Riyad
8. Robiul
9. Taijul
10.Al Amin
11. Shafiul

From cricinfo:
"But Mushfiqur Rahim, who scored his third Test century, was the biggest beneficiary of West Indies' fielding lapses.

He got four lives - Chris Gayle dropping him at first slip on 10, Darren Bravo dropping him at gully on 25, Gayle again dropping him on 71 and finally Jerome Taylor dropping a sitter at mid-on when he was on 115.

Kirk Edwards also put down a simple chance offered by Mahmudullah on the fourth day when the batsman skied the ball straight to cover."

missed the 5th day.
Glad that Mushy got a hundred, over all captain leading from the front with the bat, if only his on field captaincy was good.
Mushy is the only BD player whose batting I can watch with a normal heart bit.

Too bad the rest couldn't contribute at all, and how long will it take NAsir to score a fifty? Ryad & Tamim got one each, I don't understand what NAsir's role is, feels so bad to see our most consistent batsman in last two years have become the most inconsistent.

For the 2nd Test I don't want to see KAedge, he just lost it, also Rubel is useless.

Don't understand these type of statements:
Brathwaite was dropped and went on to score double, Bravo was dropped/mis-stumpped and score a century.
This is part of the game, sometime the ball sticks and sometimes it does not.
At the end of the day, did he score a century? Yes. Move on.

If you look back, double or triple scored by other batsman, so many of them got chances and made history. No one cares.
Shame on them for missing opportunities, Mushy just ripped the fruit of their screw-ups!
Like saying, if Tamim did not play that shot, we was definitely gonna score a century!

Nobody talking about Mominul's two fishy dismissals. The youngster despite all the stories about his weakness against short bowling seemed very comfortable and confident.

Yes and yes.

yes those outs are both similar and unfortunate.

And yes he looked so comfortable compared to some other BD batsman in that game.

He proved yet again what a terrific find he's been. It's really time he's a regular member in ODI's as well. His average might not look good but give him a bit of time, be patient and the runs will come. Remember how Mushy's average was also a 22/23 for a long time in ODI's but because his Test performances were good, he got his chances in ODI's and has finally started to strike form in ODI's along with Tests. Just don't play him in T20I's though because he's a classical batsman who bats better in the longer formats.

^^Agreed. I've been saying for a while he should bat at 3 in ODIs. He's a class act and has a good head on his shoulders. Doesn't panic at the slightest bit of pressure. He'll be our best ever #3 in ODIs. He just needs to play.

It's just frustration for Tamim. We all know he's a much better player than he shows. He's obviously far better than the likes of Shamsur, SN, Imrul, Junaid and Nazimuddin but given the talent he has, he just hasn't gone to the level he should've.

That said, it's quite silly to even think of dropping Tamim. He's our only batsman to average above a 40 in Tests outside of Asia and 1 of only 8 batsmen to average in the 30's overall in Tests with at least 5 matches to his name. On top of that, he's a top order batsman. So even though his batting can get frustrating, we can't drop a player of Tamim's caliber.

Disagree about Nasir however. His averages obviously look good but he's been in slump for far too long. He hasn't scored even a half century for the last 21 innings in ODI's and Tests. On top of that he's a middle order batsman who doesn't bowl or keep. So if he doesn't score, he becomes useless which he has been. You could say Tamim was in a slump as well but he just didn't do well in the SL Test and India ODI series but before that he was playing pretty well. So time to give Nasir a break.
