Here is stats from Zimbabwe's previous series with Pakistan - http://www.cricketarchive.com/Archiv...e_2009-10.html

Zimbabwe had one win against Pakistan, but overall Pakistan dominated the series. Zimbabwe seem to have a good medium fast bowler in Stev Chimhamhiwa who took 14 wickets in the series, including a fifer.

Default Depleted Zimbabwe face tough examination

Zimbabwe U-19s in Bangladesh 2009-10
Depleted Zimbabwe face tough examination

Cricinfo staff
November 6, 2009

Zimbabwe Under-19 coach Kevin Curran has got his excuses in early, warning not to expect too much of a depleted side as they head off for three-ODI series in Bangladesh.

His squad is missing six players who are unavailable because of end-of-year exams, and they face a Bangladesh side boosted by a 5-2 series win over England.

"It's going to be tough, some of the players in the side have not even left the country before," Curran told the Independent. "We're going to face a lot of spin on turning wickets. But if the boys put to practice what we have been doing in training we will compete.

"A lot of good players are not touring. It's an opportunity for the other players to stake claims for the World Cup squad. No one is a certainty."

The series is part of Zimbabwe's preparations for January's Under 19 World Cup in New Zealand.

5-0 with big margin. Total domination. 1/2 century and 2/3 5 wicket haul.

If they could have beaten a strong team like Pakistan once, then they are not so bad. This will be a good practice series for them, and I am sure that they will give BD a good fight which is good for cricket all around. I want to see BD playing SL and Pak soon, have not heard anything from it from BD, but it was in the Sri lankan news recently saying that a Tri Series will be played before the WC tournament.

Try them to restrict under 44 runs in every match and win it by 10 wkts within 2.3 overs.

Zim U-19 start with loss
Sports Reporter- The Daily Star

Zimbabwe Under-19 team started their Bangladesh tour with a loss as they conceded a 33-run defeat to BCB XI at the Khulna Divisional Stadium yesterday.

Batting first, BCB XI put on a challenging total 254 losing 8 wickets in their allotted fifty overs. The mainstay of the batting came from opener Anamul Haque (60) and middle-order batsman Mominul Haque (45).

Zimbabwe under-19 team had a few pretty good knocks in their innings as well, including Dean Mazhawidza (65) and Gary Chiri Muuta (39), but as many as five run-outs caused thwarted their chase and saw them skittle out in 48.4 overs with 221 runs on the board, handing the hosts a 33-run victory.

Well played. Anamul and Mominul seem to be really consistent.

Good start. Anamul and Mominul these two names coming up all the time. Great news indeed.

I loved the five runouts part. That is how one wins a tournament. Do the little things right on the field.

Why not dream big? It is a good team and one of if not uniquely best.
A bit of commitment with gritty determination can bring wonders.

Looks like it was a close match with BCB XI. 5 runouts, their card gives me the feeling that they were pretty comfortable with our bowling attack.

Anamul hoque is very consistent and impressive. Shakib al Hasan was also impressive and consistent when he played in U19. I Hope he wl rise as next world class player of BD.

Is this U19 squad better than the last one who performed so well until being beaten by SA and got knocked out in the semi finals?

ZIM kids played really well. Scoring 220+ is not bad at all.

Hard to say. The players of the last team have some great FC records...S Shuvo, Marshall Ayub, Mithun Ali. And most of the players in the current squad are yet to play FC cricket. So difficult to compare.

I think this team has a lot of great all-rounders which was missing in the last squad.
