The Bangladeshi spin bowlers are just decent bowlers but not world class. World class would imply that, at any moment, they can rip through a team. We just don't have that yet.

The focus should be on our batting in test matches (real cricket). If we can consistently pile up 400 in the first innings then Shakib and co will take wickets.

No, Shakib is by far better than those two. He is even better than Vettori. However, Razzak is a joke of a "spinner". He clearly is a chucker -- like Botha -- and shouldn't be allowed to bowl in international cricket.

Yes Shakib will get 5 wickets again SA and WI after they score 400+ on the board (in test cricket ) and take the game away from Bangladesh. After that the bowlers like Peterson, Botha and Sulieman Benn will also grab 5 wickets against Bangladeshi batsmen while they will struggle to score even 200 in the test cricket.

Did Shakib and Razzak got 5 wickets against ANY TOP OPPOSITON OF THE WORLD ? NO

Let Sulieman Benn, Botha and Peterson play more matches against Zimbabwe and Kenya , they will pick up more wickets than our so called world class spinners. Oh YES, let them bowl against Bangladesh in Bangladesh and they will teach our spinners how to BOWL SPIN !!!

Hello Banarafat , you should check Shakib test Statistiks , you would see that he already has 5 WICKETs against all the top side .
And also he is the second best test spinner after swann ( zimba kenya fon't plays test + others spinner plays agains our mighty batting line up )

I agree with this.

Benn or Peterson are not very good spinners. they are ok spinners. Razzak bowls well in our pitches, not so well outside.

shakib is the best of the lot, having taken consecutive 5 wicket hauls outside.

its our batsmen, nothing else, at the end of the day.

Maybe better than Razzak, his bowling has not been the same since the change in his action. But no, Shakib is way ahead of those two IMO. Its just that Shakib is going through a rough patch right now, but when he's at his usual form he's a deadly bowler to deal with. I'd rate him as a top 4 spinner in the world when he's performing at par with his abilities. Along with Swann, Vettori and Harbajan.
