I hope Nepal qualifies. They seem to have a passionate fan base. ICC should really help USA become a force for the good of the game. Such a huge market!

I want both the UK teams (Ireland & Scotland) to qualify. Not looking good for Scotland but early days still.

Ireland is NOT a UK team. The Irish might hurt you real bad if they here you say that. Historical animosity you know. But, hey, even Scotland might end up as an independent country.

Actually the Ireland cricket team represents both the Rep. of Ireland and Northern Ireland, which is a part of the UK.

But they are still not part of the UK - so better would have been to use the term British Isles. Else, my Irish-Canadian aunt (who used to be a huge Bobby Sands fan) would probably sic the IRA on you.

Wow Italy chased down 161 with 6 wickets in hand!! Also PNG thrashed Netherlands. This qualifiers tournament appears to be quite open.

lol! I see what you are saying. Yeah I suppose I could have only used UK if the team solely represented Northern Ireland as opposed to the mix they have now.

^ya good to see. It's too bad these teams will likely not be able to play in the main tournament. This should have been a 16 team tournament from the start. Not all these rounds.

Thanks MO bhai. I knew that. Have loads of friends from both the Irelands hence I was trying to form some sort of attachment and claim the cricket team as UK (Since the cricket team is made of both Nothern Irish and ROI players) and the majority are from Northern Ireland btw.

Sucks that Canada fell two runs short albeit losing only 3 wickets. Bagai played a Riad-esque inning and must be whipped for that.

Such a shame that all 16 teams are not part of the World Cup proper. Could have easily split them into 4 groups. I dont understand the thinking process of ICC.
