Default BPL Payment issue: Owais Shah gave wrong account number!!!!

Quote:
Owais Shah complained he did not receive his money even though BCB told him they paid him. Yesterday Owais admitted his mistake of giving wrong account number. I have heard Owais will face the media to admit his mistake.
BCB President Nazmul Hasan Papon

If true, this would remove some cloud. But, BPL has to be run more professionally to ensure its survival.

^^^ Well he made the loudest noise. So we are giving some back to him. I will not deny the fact that BCB franchise will try everything to hold on to their money for few more days but Owais should have spoke to BCB before going public.

On serious note Owais just proved that he is human and can make mistake.

Well if it is true hopefully! then this is a good chance for us to see whether c***info is biased or not because every time, so much negativity on our Cricket on that site. Think they spoke way too soon and trying to degrade our Cricket. I personally think people are jealous that a 'minnow' team can setup and run their own T20 franchise league.

I think, you are trusting too much on the words of BCB president.

If they attempted to pay and the account number was wrong, they should have told Owais shah about it and Owais wouldn't have complained... Don't you think that they only attempted to pay after Owais shah complained? In that case, BCB is still at fault.... I see more possibility of it.

If account number is wrong how can they send money there? It won't even go....unless that wrong account holder has same name... which would be quiet a miraculous coincident...

BCB is definately at fault, no doubt... I mean most cricketers are still not paid.... but I still hope when the payment is made, the cricketing websites cover the news...

Owais Shah might have this wrong account issue but what about others? Only Dhaka Gladiators and Khulna complied with the deadlines so far and according to BCB, players from both teams will get their money within the next three-four working days. It means not a single player has received this money so far. Also don't forget that five franchises yet to process this 25% initial payment. What is wrong is wrong, no matter who does it. We should not driven by emotions, rather by evidence, reality and rationality.

Cash? Boka Naki? Now what if happen if the players still complain? There will be no track record that they really paid.

^^ They have taken receipt of payment for sure I'd think.

We might not be good at making payment, but we are certainly very good at making sure to record when we do make payment.

“In the ICC meeting everybody highly praised the BPL. And it's nice that the tournament is going great and the fans have also started to come. I know there is talk about the non-payment issue and one of our local players also talked about the issue but what I want to say is that everybody should talk with the BCB before making any comments. Owais Shah admitted his mistake after he had provided the wrong account number.

“We made all the payments from last year and I can assure everybody that they will get their money this season also. We have the latest deadline till February 5 and the franchises will make a big mistake if they don't clear their dues. They (franchises) will suffer heavily for broken promises this time,” warned Papon.

Bujhlam. But what about Thomas, Shakib and Razzak?

I found it interesting that Shah and Thomas (both first-timers) complained to the media about the delay. The returning players are probably now resigned to the fact that there may be delays but eventually they'll get paid.

^^^ Sorry Dhakablues, I did not open this thread for every player. Its Owais Shah who first made the noise everyone else just echoed his concern. But main instigator Owais himself made the mistake to begin the argument.

Agreed... And probably he did. But this version of BPL, atleast from the folks outside the country, again reminded how poorly BCB handled this sensitive issue that goes beyond Cricket.

Owasis Shah's issue didnt seem like an insolated event because many players, coaches mentioned the same issue and BCB played the role of a dodgy politicians than helping the victims like a professional sports body..I doubt that anyone would believe what the Franchise Owners or BPL would say or promise anymore..

EDIT: Well apparently he did. Not the way I hoped though. Crapinfo needs to cover it this time.
