I remain a strict (and die-hard) lacto-vegan. There is nothing religious about it since i remained condemned for hell, having ample claims to every known evil and vice in the world. It has everything to do with my imaginations that run deep when it comes to imagine any non-veg dish and some early childhood scars (watching a goat get slaughtered - it's flesh twitching even as it's it's headless body stripped of all the skin was being hanged up for the custmers). If i was ever a non-veg, my only choice would be fish. Also, as much as i love KalaJaam, i doubt if i can eat more than one. I had prefer punjabi dishes (Paratha of all kinds, Chhola Bhatura etc) or South Indian (Idlis, Dosas, Uttapams) or even choicest of Veggie-Biryanis or Simple Dal-Chawal (Bhaat)-Roti-Sabzi (Saag) will do.

Sorry Prince,
We chuna puti (puti mas bhaja is a nice dish) don't get much credit here. It was my inspiration I recall, this original thread was initiated. However, raghob boal (boal mas jhol korey alu diye ranna) like Zunaid takes all the credit, well, most of the credit

Thanks for merging the threads, so I don't have to post all my favourite food items again. Of course I could name a myriad of favourite foreign dishes, and I might when I have a full stomach. Regardless none of them beat our own deshi food.

Btw, I have asked my mom to send me more delicious shuta kebab and mogoj bhaji from BD, which I hope will safely land in my stomach in a few days.

I always pronounced it (and hear people say it) "Muri Ghonta" and got confused there. But agree with that it doesn't taste very pleseant.

For a second I thought it was made from the mosquitos trapped inside the moshari.

Muro means matha. Muro ghonto comes from there. basically mas'er matha'r ghonto. That dish is one of the best if cooked properly with Rui mas'er matha. the dhilu is like mmmm! mmmm! good.....
