I agree wholeheartedly, very important to get feedback from them, then it makes it worthwhile and credible. We can then know what their plans are, but I think that those guys are very arrogant and will just ignore communication, but it is a worth a try, they might just be cooperative for a change.
Also, if they pass on our emails to the players, that would be nice.

My suggestion:
I want a rating system to be added for the articles published on the front page. It will be like that of YouTube, people will have to log in to rate.

Why do you need to know who is a man/woman? I don't think it's necessary in a cricket forum to know the gender.

I would request to change the current font to "vernada". It is eye-catching and easier to read. Puts let pressure on my eyes

You could easily do that with your browser. If you are using IE7 click on tools and under general tab choose your desired font

Younger members and mature topics
We do have a number of relatively young members, e.g. the cat push-up icon lad (growing senile, naam ta bhule giyechhi) and his sister Novo. And we often do discuss certain issues, particularly in the Forget Cricket section, e.g. atheism, certain aspects of religion, homosexuality, etc., which might be a little too mature for them.
Now, I like having the youngsters around. But I also enjoy having the discussions we do. And I'm generally not in favour of censorship. But given that our profiles often include our birthdates, perhaps we could have a mechanism where the mods or the opener of a thread could mark the thread as mature.
This need not prevent the younger members from viewing the thread (I said I didn't particularly like censorship). But perhaps a mechanism could be devised where clicking on such a thread subject for someone below a certain age would bring up an initial screen with a message along the lines of: "This is a mature thread. Are you sure you want to view it? (Yes/No)"?
Your thoughts?

Shaad - I wish it were this simple. As primarily a cricket site we would like to be all inclusive but on the other hand the popularity of the site also means that FC also gets well used and worn. We had considered siphoning off non G rated discussion to one of our sister concerns but that did not go down well either - members do not wish to go off site....

Zunaid,
Not that easy to implement then, I take it. And I like the discussions here, wouldn't want to shunt them elsewhere either. How about just a tag (kind of like the ratings, sticky, attachments tags we currently have) for marking a thread as mature?
And then again, maybe I'm overthinking the matter. Maybe having such a tag would have a negative effect, for instance encouraging juvenile "adult" threads (you know what I mean).

Yes, any kind of tagging will definitely up the curiosity.

I'll leave that as an admin's decision, but I'm curious to know what you've got up your sleeve.

Thread opener should not be allowed to rate his/her own thread.

1. I know you dont wanna advertise other sites but if there is a way to get around it somehow, could you please list all the links of the video when a BD game is on, then you wouldnt see so many ppl coming and posting for links? Thnx!
2. A separate sub-forum with all the major players' own thread- sticky- where fans can just put their comments about them, then you wouldnt see...whats the phrase ekhon chole eikhane? oh hay..- you wouldnt see fans opening threads abt them kdpp....plus since BC is so popular if player ego searches themselves they can actually read msgs directed to them.
Thnx and keep up the fabulous job.
