How come they didn't bowl Jayasuriya?

Congratulations to Bangladesh team! Superb effort. Especially after losing badly with Zim.
Congrats to Shakib, my hero, for MoM and a fine match winning knock. Who says we only win with Big 8 if only Ash scores runs.
Congrats to debutant Rubel for outstanding bowling, along with all time fav Mash! Seems like we have got the other seamer we are long looking for.

I guess thats why nobody was mad when he got out.
Good match. What an awesome turn around!?! Not only we defeated them but we are playing in the final! Regardless of the result of the final, I am pretty happy.

One very important word is missing from the statement of Sakib. that was "Till Now" he repeated the words twice & smiled. I liked his confidence & it shows that he isn't Complacent with this innings, he is definitely aiming much higher.
In Ashes statement Ash said, "Shakib played a brilliant innings & I tried to support him" That was also good to here that common senses are coming back.
Great Match, hope we can maintain & carry this standard, into the next matches. Loved watching BD cricket after a long time.

What a game!!! I have class at 4 pm today, so I was able to watch the entire game during the night and it was awesome.
There were some lows but mostly highs in this game. We started to bowling well with Mash and we ended it well with Rubel.
Then our top order batsmen didn't do didly squat and it was upto Shakib and Ash to repair the innings. They not only repaired it, but they built a partnership scoring runs quickly and gave us a chance to get the bonus point.
What a game. Since the wins in the World Cup, this has been the most fun I've had watching this team play. GO Bangladesh GO!

I don't really have any expectations for us in the final. The fact that we're here is good enough for me.
What are your expectations?

Good to watch Ash find some 'form' here in SL, and Shakib is just simply stunning 24/7
Mash was superb, and Rubel bowled well to clean up the tail so cheaply as well.

I hope BD turn over a new leaf in 2009 and play competitive cricket. play to win or make the opponent fight hard for a win. They have to believe in themselves that they can beat the top teams
I am really disappointed with Tamim and Raqibal, they can score runs, but are failing, also Zunaid, three potential batsmen who can contribute at least 100 runs failing.
Hope they perform better, especially Tamim.

Does anyone know for certain whether Bangladesh needed the bonus point or not ?
(Please don't reply that it is irrelevant )

Yap! Bonus point was required as according to the playing condition of the tri-series, head-to-head win would haven been considered ahead of net run rate.
here's the playing condition -
Preliminary Matches
In a competition with three or four Members with ODI status and with a final match or series, the home Board will institute a points system as follows:
Win, with bonus point 5
Win, without bonus point 4
Tie or No Result 2
Loss 0
In the event of teams finishing on equal points, the right to play in the final match or series will be determined as follows:
• The team with the most number of wins
• If still equal, the team with the most number of wins over the other team(s) who are equal on points and have the same number of wins
• If still equal, the team with the highest number of bonus points
• If still equal, the team with the highest net run rate

Cant wait till tomorrow! Hope Bangladesh can put up a similar performance, not really expecting a win. The way Shakib hit Mendis and Muralitharan, theyll be really pumped up! lol
