not been in the best international form lately, still over the last 5 years he's averaged 34 in tests, and again averaged 34 over the last 2 years, it drops to 26 over the last 12 months but that was only 2 test matches plus his long term success means his position should be pretty settled for the moment. but nasir's breakthrough has really pushed up the battings pedigree, so has shakib's improved consistency.

You are right, I was harsh to him in previous post. He has played a key role in the team as the keeper-batsman over last three years. However, the bars are being pushed higher now, both for individual and team performances. Hopefully Mushfiq will keep up.

Mushfiq certainly has what it takes. His stats dont reflect upon it. I feel like he sometimes finds ways of getting himself out. When he is on song he is a treat to watch.

It's been a long wait but he has finally got his second century with many more to come. Don't understand how anyone can even suggest that Mushy's place in the team should be in doubt.

Anamul or Omi could stand as keeper on second innings. He needs some rest.

Ever since he took the helm, he completely transformed himself. Played like a champ today.

Convincingly outscored mighty Sir Ash today, great batting indeed. Wish him good luck for reaching 200 milestone and carry on further.

I hope El Capitan and his resurrected partner start tomorrow with renewed focus. That way we'll witness TWO, not just one, test 200s InshAllah!

Well done to Mushy. After a very ordinary Test series against the Windies, he's come back with a bang. He's always been a player that had potential to get the big scores but for some reason, he couldn't convert. Hope this is the start of something
