No need for wholesale change in the line up. We need wholesale change in the management and structure.

^I disagree. Players with SRs of 60 and sub-25 averages are not LOI players. One of the biggest problems with our team selection is the inability or unwillingness to have separate teams for separate formats.

With regards to Shabbir. He is another overhyped kid who hasn't done much. Nasir should be miles ahead of him when it comes to selection.

Anyone with commitment and better sense of responsibility will do !
What happened to Jahirul Islam ? No news abt him after the England series at home despite the pathetic performance of Mushfique both as wicketkeeper and batsman !

yeap management and structure needs change now enough of other changes ...our main problem lies there...BCB head should resign...along with his incompetent members who run the cricket structure...

Just added Aumi, he slipped my mind for some reason. Took Robbin's name out of the mix. Not sure if can bowl better than 3 excellent overs with the new ball and then just crash as he always does.

Rasel is also a good idea, as is Talha as a Rasel-type bowler. Important than Coach Pont works with both of them side by side. All 3 would be in if we can make it XXIV duking it out in a best of 7 series in Mirpur and Chittagong.

Gotta rid ourselves of Sid and his negativism first.

Tamim

Jahirul
Shakib
Alok
Aftab
Mashrafe
Shafiul
Razzak
Rubel

Look at the bowling option and power-play option we have in that team.

already posted in one thread, doing it again

team for australia

tamim iqbal
anamul haque
jahurul islam
shuvagoto hom
shakib al hasan
nasir hossain
sabbir rahman
suhrawardi shuvo
nur hossain
shahadat
nazmul

reserves: shuvashish, mahmudul hasan, saqlain sajib, shashur rahman shuvo

i have intentionally dropped imrul, rajjak, shafiul and rubel ..... they have at least had some performances and lets give them a rest.

anyway i forgot about nazimuddin ..... he could be given a look and also mominul haque.

THOUGH WE ALSO HAVE THE A TEAM TOUR OF SA AT THE SAME TIME.

so the selection will also depend on the selection of the A team. some ppl we want in the national team mat actually get selected for A team. so we have to think well for both the teams

Some people still want riyad at 7? plz dont be daft like siddons! it doesnt take rocket-secience to figure out Mohammad Mahmudullah is not a number-7 batsmen. He needs to bat up the order, he is an innings builder, who likes to get in-set, takes time to settle. he (mahmudullah) isnt a number-7 batsmen, he isnt a powerful player, he isnt a good boundery hitter, he isnt 1 who will score runs well in quick time facing less balls.etc

I generally don't want a drastic change in the team, but, unfortunately, Siddons carried dead weights in the team for too long, so some changes are inevitable.

Sir Ash: Simply sick of this moron, dump him, don't even let him be in the A-team. Lets try other options.

Riyad, Naeem: Both of them failed to adapt to their late order positions. It's high time Nasir be tried in place of Riyad and a specialist bowler replaces Naeem. Riyad and Naeem should be sent on the A-team tour as specialist batsmen instead.

SN: Looked real rusty in last two ODIs. The A-team looks more appropriate place for him at the moment.

This should be the series of reckoning for Rock, Mushfiq, and Zunaed. If they continue with their poor forms, and someone from the A-team put his hands up, they should be gone for good.

So, my playing XI would be -

Tamim
Imrul
Zunaed
Raqibul
Shakib
Mushfiq
Nasir
Shafiul
Shuvo
Razzak
Rubel

I won't name a reserve bench for the series, I rather have fringe players sent on the A-team tour. If we so badly need an injury replacement, pick someone from the NCL. Use couple of good fielders from the academy to be used as substitute fielders and to carry towels.

I dont see a point of "select your playing 11" against Aus when you and I both know well that we're getting whitewashed 3-0

The Aussie series is just round the corner..so wholesale changes are likely to really mess up the team. Only players with recent international experience should be considered as replacement for this series and only if the merits are absolutely clear. Don't throw the baby with the bathwater.

How about they refuse to come out to play? That will just save our batsmen from embarrasing ourselves like we usualy do.
