Default prediction for BD vs. ZIM 1st ODI

If bd bats first 240+ (Saqib 38, Aftab 18, AshraFool 23, Hablu 47*, Nafis 11), Zim 190/7
BD bowls first Zim 200+

In terms of loose or win, i'd say its gonna be an even affair, 2-2 (but of course I would like to see a 4-0 in our favor, but it can be 4-0 in their favor)

we have spanked the zimbabweans 6-0 recently...we got em 7, count them 7 times in one go!!!

it doesn't matter if you are playing on the moon against lunar natives who r used to the extra bounce, you can't get beaten that comprehensively and still be the "better team".

if you look at our 3-2 loss to them, another 30 runs total in the entire series (30 runs/ 6 batsman/ 5 matches = 1 run per player per match more from a series standpoint) and we would have won 4-1. thats convincing. only the 4th ODI were we truly outclassed (we lost by 7 wickets or so). and imagine if we had won the 3rd ODI, i doubt we would have lost ODI 4, and you are looking at a potential 5-0 whitewash.

i expect a 4-0 whitewash; anything less is not only a dissappointment its would not be halal. zimbabwe have the potential to beat us once and thats about it.

Zimbabwe seem to be able to chase very well against us on home soil. I dont think 240 will be enough if u recall the last series.

Bangladesh WILL Bat First

Bangladesh 266/6 (Bashar 63, Aftab 32, Ashraful 28, Nafees 79, Sakib 27*)

Zimbabwe 170 all out (Razzak 3-38, Mortaza 3-47, Sakib 2-17)

Too precise.. We'll see

I just wanted to get you guys down to earth. we just lost a series there, and nothing has chanced since then. Actually, it did. we are sending a less strong team this time.

nah the team is the same strength...or even stronger, no pilot no javed this time around.

yes we lost a series there, but thinka bout it this way.

one ball.

if mash gave up 5 runs of that fateful ball, we woulda 3-2.

a couple other good balls, and we would have taken the series 4-1.

we lost the series by a one run off a single ball.

I am hoping Bangladesh bat first and pile up a 250+ score. Also hoping for 50+ scores from at least 2 batsmen in our middle overs.
Bowling wise we all know what they are bringing to the plate. Looking forward to see 'Lala' resume his dominance against Zimbos

This series should be about building the gap wider between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh cricket. So take out the shovels and start digging. Honestly, we should not even think about one loss. We should take every match seriously and build scores above 300 with loss of 4 wickets or less when batting early. If bowling first, focus on wrapping Zimbabwe innings below 190.
Individually,
Shahriar Nafees should target a 400 run series
Mehrab Junior should target 200 run series
Ashraful and Bashar should also target 200 run series
Mashrafe, Shahadat should focus on hunting in packs
Rafiq, Saqib should focus on getting their average up and concetrate on world cup
The rest of the crew should focus on their supporting roles.

We should bang this out of the park!

Less strong, from two points of views: player forms and player choices. more or less, all the national team batsmen are out of form in the league. would they suddenly gain form in zimbos? not too likely. secondly, team formation, now TI seems to be an auto choice for the 6th position. so, what we have here? a formless 1-5 and a single digit 6. then comes mashrafee: he will have nightmare everytime he faces taylor. all his big talk about 'seeing' taylor was in vein as you know from last meet ups. result, tigers have to run for their money in every single match. we will probably still win the series, but reading at most of your post, it seemed to me you guys are over estimating our team and underestimating theirs'.
