I really really hope Sourav Ganguly becomes the next Bangladesh Cricket Head Coach. I really feel he is the man that can help change bd cricket for good at international level against top sides,

A coach cant do anything unless we have any decent numbers of cricketers who know the basic of cricket and got balls.... 2-3 cricketers like Shakib or Tamim are not enough, we need more players like them. otherwise we will be inconsistent for ever doesnt matter who ever comes as coach.

Australian player who was part of the 99/03/07 team and actually involved in winning the World cup. Having Mcgrath/Warne would be mind blowing but probably will never happen.

Anyone who is professional enough to urge unfit fat players like Tamim and Nafees to drop the extra pounds, it was a shame seeing fat water buffaloes representing Bangladesh. Wonder how Tamim gained so much weight, the guy was one of our fittest cricketer. Look at England for example even though Samit Patel is a decent spinner they kept him in the 30 man squad and gave him a deadline to drop the extra pounds, he couldn't drop it and thus wasn't selected. Hats off to Andy Flower. We need a strict coach who doesn't gets emotionally attached to our players and trains them to stay mentally and physically fit and pushes them to the limit.

Also, these gari baris hasinar bashai dawat has to stop, a bit too much. (on a separate note)

hey nothing wrong being fat If you are fit. tamim is one of the best fielder, just look at his catch against Ireland. its called commitment. Ranatunga was fat, inji was fat, warne was fat, sewag is fat, yuvi is fat, kevin o brian is fat, jessy rider is fat, you mate tim bresnon is fat too. Do you like to hear anymore names?

None. I trust the management to bring in someone good.

So far, current admins have chosen good coaches. Example, Ian, Julien and Ross Turner. I am counting on this management to bring in another good coach.

It is interesting to see Tamim Iqbal Backing Jamie Siddons, Most Likely JS will Stay Now as Tamim is the Cousin of Akram Khan. So hence our conclusion might be that he will be remain as the Coach. Tamim Iqbal Makes a Point about Improving the average of players such as Imrul, Him, Shakib...So Jamie Siddons in 4 Years has made 3 to 4 players reach 30 or above as average. Alan Raymond Butcher The Zimbabwe Coach (2010 - Present) has made batsmen average increase rapidly within 1 year, for example Brendan Taylor (32.18), Craig Ervine (34.68), Sean Williams (29.38), so 1 year, 3 players. Wooow better than Jamie Siddons

I voted for none of the above.

So far, coaches from Aus (JS / DW) had better success for BD. Should find somebody from Aus with coaching pedigree.

Can anybody care to explain why JS is not continuing?

Just saw the voting result. Quite surprised!
If you guys want to destroy what BD team achieved so far, then Ganguly is the best choice!

Ganguly for sure. He's always been a great leader and winner. He's got the attitude and I can see him being ruthless when necessary. Our players need to be whipped with both the tongue (khati bangali gali, english cuss words just don't cut it) and the rod every now and then to keep them straight.

+1... Excellent comment. Yes we need a leader like Ganguly who will tell Batsmen to Fix up or Leave the National team and play Domestic. JS never tells anyone offs specailly the vice captain and captain himself Tamim & Shakib. Hence, They do wteva they like.

achievements are only realised in the world cup... Team prepare 4 years to compete in the world cup and show their talents. So in that case what achievement are you talking about?

I see no difference in the 2007 world cup and 2011 world cup, But if you look closely we did better in 2007 beating India and South Africa... what did we do in 2011 world cup Beating only England, so what achievement are you talking about?

The advantage if Ganguly is the language as well he can speak Bengali so that's a good thing he will be useful to our players as well they will be able to learn more from him.

You cant measure teams performance just to look at world cup result. As a test playing nation your statement is ridiculous. If we need to improve then we need to improve in test cricket. That should be our main concern.. Dont underestimate our recent performances. this team has achieved something more then past.

If you improve you will improve in both formats automatically. Look at India- currently no1 in tests and 2 in odis. the same goes with SA & Australia (except for last couple of years).

I think you should also keep Jamie Siddons there....as my vote would be to give him to continue....we just started to see the light after 10 long years of hannans, gollas, aftabs and ashss

Yes, Dada will be a great choice as there will be no language barrier. I wonder how Jamie dealt with our batsmen they hardly speak any English, must have been sing languages or maybe Shakib or Tamim interprets to the team. It will be helpful coming directly from the coach and being able to understand it rather than the Interpretors.
