Python Bursts After Trying to Eat Gator
Python Bursts After Trying to Eat Gator
Check out the picture in yahoo. A 13-foot Burmese python recently burst after it apparently tried to swallow a live, six-foot alligator whole.

lol good point! especially no python head visible. And by the time, if the authorities even wanted to see if those were alive, surely other crocs would have a diiferent say.

I always thought Crocs were smaller than the gators. But here is a link.
Diff between Crocs and Gators
Thanks for the thread. Really amazing to see how nature works.

Records of fights between predators are somewhat rare, but among the ones i saw are,
Tiger killing a crocodile,
bear in a stalemate with a lion.
I would really like to know what would happen if a crocodile faces a rhino, or a gorilla fights a bear

The bear would beat the gorilla. Considering on rare occasions the bear would defeat numerous dogs in the medieval sport of "bear-bating"

Rumours are some secret organizations are trying to train these reptiles to swallow huge things. The ultimate goal is to teach them swallow jet planes

the kind of things i always wondered when i was a child. :P
about croc vs shark, i think croc will win. shark is ofcourse more agile but croc has teeth and its claws. also its skin is thicker and robust.
i have watched many documentaries on crocs, they are very shrewd and dangerous hunters. another interesting info is that crocs can actually live in seas though they are slightly different. similary there is a type of shark which can live in rivers and shallow waters. the scary thing is these river sharks can actually attack people. even there are reported attacks in river ganga.

Python found hiding inside Family’s toilet
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia Oct 24, 2005 — at first, the family thought their daughter was hallucinating when she told them that a python had stuck its head out of the toilet. But after deciding to investigate for themselves, they too saw the 8-foot, yellow and black python peering from inside the traditional squat toilet, common in Malaysian homes, The Star newspaper reported Monday.
Upon their discovery Sunday, they contacted the owner of the rented home, and firefighters later trapped the python at the home in southern Johor Bahru city and released it into a nearby jungle, the report said.
Firefighters were not immediately available for comment, and it was unclear how the snake slithered into the toilet."
Lately it seems Python population is on the rise.
+++++++
Consider this, Crocs are afraid of Hippos. They can't even touch a cub when the mother is around. I saw it on the Discovery channel.
Hyenas are not afraid of lionesses but it only takes one lion to get rid of the entire pack of Hyenas from a kill. The expert says with one blow of the lion the Hyena can be badly damaged and they do not want to take that risk.
