1 month...I can't tell nor remember. Is that a long tour? Certainly looks that way from the table...

The table looks long coz it has the details of the days when they'll relax and practice. It's a 3 ODI and 2 Test series.

Hoping that the Tigers will take advantage of this series and lift their confidence. Dealing with NZ at home shouldn't be a problem. But with our boys, everything has been a problem lately.

Thanks for the itinerary. So is McCullum coming? There should be some payback strategy for him.

We could have played 5 ODI's or at least 4 considering the amount of time the Kiwis will spend in BD.

BCB should plan couple of 20-20s for the 5th day of tests.

CI confirmation of the above news.

New Zealand in Bangladesh 2008-09
New Zealand to arrive early in Bangladesh
Cricinfo staff
September 11, 2008
A change in their tour schedule means New Zealand have more time to acclimatise to subcontinental conditions before the ODI and Test series against Bangladesh. The team will arrive in the country on September 30, instead of October 4 as originally planned.
The visit involves two Tests and three ODIs, and the revised itinerary gives New Zealand a week before their only warm-up game of the tour, on October 7. The ODI series begins on October 9, followed by the Tests from October 17-29.
With the Champions Trophy in Pakistan postponed until 2009, New Zealand have no fixtures before the Bangladesh tour. New Zealand Cricket (NZC) had indicated they were in talks with other boards in order to fill the gap in the schedule. Since weather conditions in New Zealand wouldn't be conducive to cricket, NZC were hoping to touring, however no matches have been confirmed.

New zealnads last tour to Sub-continet was in bangladesh. In between only experience they had is few of there star player played in IPL and ICL last 2 years.

I remeber we created a lot of opportunity in ODI series then but did not take it. I hope we are a much beter team 4 years after and pull of a win or two in ODI.

Vettori is the key factor. We shut him down we will do well.

That would be a series victory. Khek!

This Australian team we just faced is much weaker than NZ, India, Eng, SL, SA in ODIs. Since Pak is always unpredictable I didn't put them up there. Without Ponting, Haydous, Lee they are bachcha gangaroos.

Still this baccha kangaroos has the capability of beating any team in the world. I know Aussies missed few of their world class players in this series but for that you can't underestimate these players. They are not like our players whose main team's average age is below 25 whereas these players are all above 25 even though they just started their career.

i had a weird dream last night...there's apparently a banglacricket microbus...and i went with them to watch our boys play NZ in the first one day. new zealand were practically giving out their wickets playing way too aggressively and batting out of the crease, infact at one stage NZ were 27/3 then two more went down and the projection was 118 all out...

somehow i landed in the team and failed to take a catch....but after sakib bowled i ran out brendon mccellum my fav. player.

also, the game was played on the street....

i remember telling how playing the aussies had hardened bd and made them sharp both as batsmen and bowlers....etc.

just wanted to share wit y'all....

Good, they are coming just before the Eid.
We'd have to give them a nice gift.
All they have to do is wait a week for it.

i had a dream a few nights ago, i wanted share it with you guys! it was a very painful memory for me and indeed a very strange dream!!!
i saw i was the batsman batting at the fatullah ground net practice wearing only a lungi, a jersey and a motorcycle helmet! my jersey said my name's jalal!
i was the only guy holding a bat! and i saw mash, rajib, mills and oram bowling at me like 97 mph!
i don't know how guessed the speed, somehow i knew, very bizzare!
i was petrified and i woke up panting and then i had to change the sheets!

Is the tour confirmed? I heard of some unconfirmed reports, that the tour was still very much up in the air due to Zero (0) commercial interest.
