I need to send and receive fax once in a while from my home. So I am looking for cheap, reliable and easy solution.

Should I buy Fax machine or Internet Faxing or something like that? Which brand (for fax machine) site/service (internet fax) do you recommend?

Internet faxing costs you money, AFAIK. My dad used to use something like that long time ago (8/9 years ago if I'm not wrong). If it's still the same, I would say it's a bad idea.

Buying a fax machine is like a one-time investment. However, there's charge if you fax long distance.

Do you have any plans for long-distance plans? You might want to do a cost comparison.

Also, I'm not sure if these two techniques really compare that well. Internet fax will allow you to receive fax all the time, while fax machine at home that you supllement with your phone connection will need to be set to receiving mode if you want to receive something.

If you are sending fax of computer document then just save it as doc or pdf and use:
http://faxzero.com/

If you are sending paper fax; use your scanner to scan it and then save it as pdf and use:
http://faxzero.com/

Great service works great for sending. Now receiving fax is different story. Use eFax.com for free receiving.

Also, does it provide international faxing service? Like, can I send a fax to Bangladesh?

Yes its free for US & Canada. What do you mean by secure? Fax is a fax. No they aren't reading your fax if thats what mean by secure. All of this is dynamic, and fax is sent within few seconds. I have used it many times.

For example in Fax Machine you get confirmation that can be used as a legal document/proof that you really sent it (at least something ) to that number like registered mail. Is there anything like that in fax zero?

Thanks both of you.

As far as I remember, they send you an email after the fax is sent successfully. Legal value of that email is a whole different question. If you really want to have legally recorded fax, then free faxing is probably not the best option.

Spend some green papers.

Using cable or broadband?
if Broadband via phone jack, buy a printer which can scan, print, fax and copy. Under $200. dell has it. There shouldn't be any charge receiving or sending via braodband. Talk to the Dell Tech and make sure what I say is correct.

Ok after searching a lot I finally found a store that seems pretty good. This is what they are offering me:

2.8 MH, 80 GB Hard Drive, 17 inch monitor, DVD Rom, DVD Burner and any other softwares I want them to install(It comes with anti-virus and etc).

Does this seem like a good deal for around $ 300 dollars?

17 inch LCD monitor or CRT?

If its LCD then you should go for it. It seems to be a good deal.

BTW what is the brand name of the PC?

Since when does Dell sell through stores? Be certain that its genuine and you'll get warranty if it is Dell. Is it 2.8MHz Core 2 Duo, Core Duo or Pentium 4, can you please find out?

oh come on. you really expect a core 2 duo under 300? nafis, sounds good deal to me. I have seen too many spoiled brats ruining brand expensive machines with mishandling. Im sure it will be perfect for your usage.

Nafis,

My sincere apologies for not being able to give you the monitor yet. I wish I did, then you computer price would've been cheaper.

Where are you getting this one from? Is it a local store or directly from dell? I suggest directly from dell, coz that will be much better. And also, have you checked futureshop/bestbuy? Their prices are always competitive with dell. Give it a shot.

Thanks a lot for all your help bhaiyas. The computer would be a pentium 4 and the guy said that he gets it from Dell and then moderates it to the customer's needs. I haven't made a confirmed decision yet cause T_E bhaiya gave me some good advice of where to find some good deals and I will probably make my decision after I have fully checked through all the options and then my dad will finalize it.

I will check futureshop/bestbuy but I doubt my dad is going to buy me a computer from there(he doesn't want me to get such a hi-fi computer and avoid my homework you know).

I have a question regarding funeral in Islam. Many (well-known ones) I know who have died recently like Bhutto, Saddam and few others were buried over night apparently because they have to be buried within 24 hours.

I haven't seen this practice in BD much mainly because I don't have too many deceased relatives (only 1 died after I was born and he was buried after his daughters came back from states).

Is it in Quran that the body must be buried within 24 hours or is it in Hadith? I know that body must be buried ASAP but how soon is ASAP?

I know Red is a symbol of Left. But why a rightist party Republican Party of USA is mentioned by Red and leftist party Democratic party is blue. My definition of leftist and rightist is purely in US context.
