Loughborough College Staff Aim To Break Cricket Marathon Record

From 24th to 30th June 2012 at the Loughborough College Rubbercrumb Pitch, Loughborough University Staff Cricket Club will attempt to break the current record of 105hrs of continuous cricket.
The attempt is taking place at a time when the international media will be focussing on teams preparing for the Olympics just across the road on the Loughborough University campus, with unavoidable exposure for the attempt happening through several different countries media, most notably our own Great Britain & NI and Japan
Harley Staples Cancer Trust (registered charity no. 1138464) was established in loving memory of Harley who died on the 1st November 2009 having suffered with a rare form of leukaemia. Initially providing art & crafts to Ward 27 of the Leicester Royal Infirmary & respite holidays to Norfolk, the charity is going to build a respite care holiday home for children & teenagers with cancer and their families with over £100,000 already raised.
