Of course in Scotland we play on ice all the time! Now that is a tricky surface to play on.

And there is a Scot planning to carry on the tradition and play at the North Pole. (He does describe himself as a Scot by the way).

i'm wondering...the ball is supposed to skid off the ice right? in that case, it's supposed to come to the bat faster after bouning off the ground than it would have otherwise. how do the batsmen adjust their footwork? is it easy if you have the proper shoes/blades on? i mean aren't you very likely to miss the ball altogether?

what would happen if Shohaib was bowling? wouldn't the batsmen find it hard to react so fast? is there any chance of slipping in the process? if the answer is no, then i'm assuming that the players move as slowly as hockey players (batsmen, bowlers and fielders). is that right?

Actually we find everyone moves very fast on ice. That is if they can get started in the first place. In fact the real problem is stopping. We find that there are very few twos or threes run during a game. The problem is that when attempting a single the batsmen is only just starting to slow when he reaches the boundary!

Ahahahah... that's really funny!

I'm thinking of the batsmen sliding on ice hoping not to crush against the wicket!
