Yet, when these boys reach adulthood they will be playing for the 197th ranked team in the World.

They need financial support more than anything, especially our girls team, so that their parents don't marry them off to be full time housewives.

I suggest sacking our entire men's team that can't defeat Bhutan and investing their salaries in the youth teams.
This is some high level analysis my friend. I think you are bang on. We could achieve so many things by using strategy alone. Unfortunately, the corrupt cronies at the top ruin everything.

Governments ruin everything in most countries, in a 3rd world country like Bd, they ruin overtime!

Match highlights. Just look at some of the techniques displayed by our girls. Those long shots, crosses and headers are all on point. BFF please make this team a World Cup squad.

I haven't even seen our men's team play this dominantly in our team's existence.
Some of the long shots and crosses were really good. But Pakistani defence were all over the place and were totally much inferior in all aspects.

Sadly female sports in our country will never get much needed funding and resources. Lets also the not forget the support they need from family and friends as they grow older to take care of their families.

Thanks for info. I dont think Pakistanis will want to watch Pakistani girls play apart from the perverted ones (which is quite a lot probably).

I bet that Sri Lanka and the Pakistanis don't even have proper youth teams, maybe their management just pocket the money, and get a bunch of high school soccer teams to represent their national side during tournaments.

Fun fact: This is the first time Pakistan and Sri Lanka are taking part in a youth SAFF tournament. Explains their miserable 200+ FIFA World Ranking. I am surprised at how good Nepal are, their U-18 Men's team beat us in the finals 2017 and India in 2015.

Against Bhutan* on 16th August. They'll likely face India on the finals who face Nepal in Semi Finals on the same date.

We beat India in the finals last time, I feel like we can do it again.

Yes you are right its Bhutan. I got the info from a website which said otherwise. The coverage for these games are quite poor on the news.

Bangladesh U-23 vs Thailand U-23 for Asian Games at Indonesia.
http://www.sportingvideo3.com/201808...8-2013565.html

We lost the first group stage game to Uzbekistan 3-0 (Thailand tied their game with Qatar 1-1). We still have to face Qatar which will certainly be challenging. This is a must-win game for us.

Look at the betting odds on the side lol. Bangladesh U-23 win- $21 to 1 to win the game from half time.

Edit: Half time 0-0.

Bangladesh lead 1-0 at 51st minute. That was a bizarre goal from a long throw and a complete brain fart from a Thai defender, but we'll take it.

Thailand equalised 1-1 at 78th minute.
We are playing badly. Didn't even deserve the win tbh. We keep losing the ball, and are barely clearing it off or losing it early whenever we gain possession from Thailand's offence, instead of constructing a counter attack. This is exactly what is wrong with our football today. I don't think we even got in the field with a winning mentality.

Total duration should have been shorter based on age group.
