External Item: ICC to buy Bangladesh time
Quote:
Test nations will meet in Dubai in August to decide whether the ICC Test championship, in which all countries must meet each other at least once on a home and away basis, should take place over a six-year period, rather than the present five.
If adopted, the move would benefit countries such as Australia and England, where it is commonly argued that Tests against Bangladesh are a mismatch. England and Australia, informed that they must not host another home series against Bangladesh until 2011, might decide to give them every chance to progress in the meantime.

Since we toured Australia in 03, shouldn't the next tour need to be by 2009?

The the 5/6 years all-play-all rule is no longer in force. The cricket boards negotiate and decide when to tour.

This article is misleading and full of half-informed remarks. I doubt if it is upto the mark of The Guardian. It is so incomplete, reading those and discussing is nothing but wastage of time.

I am so confused. Too many Year Plans..... Anyways a more important progress is the ICC Trophy and how the top 5+Kenya will have ODI status until the Next ICC Trophy. This means they will be put in the rankings and might catch up with us..... This should provide more motivation for us to improve and get higher up so they don't catch up with us.... I'd like to see a Canada-Bangladesh rematch though.
