Default No need to go for a win....

Very simple. If we play like we want to chase this target down, we'll end up folding on day 4. And if we play to survive, then there is possibility of drawing.
High risk, high reward. Low risk, low reward. But I'll prefer the low reward. And so should the team.

I am pretty sure it's a bit more subtle than that.

NO TEAM in the world can draw this and WE certainly can't! We don't have grinders in this team. They should play their shots and see what happens.

1st innings we folded in 47+ overs. A session and a half. If applied themselves max three sessions plus change. And that with a huge leap of faith.

Thus not look at the scoreboard. Just play one ball at a time. Them turns Yasir is getting....be watchful. Hit the bad ones of course.

Agreed. Its almost impossible to survive with 9 wickets for 180 overs. Let's play the natural game.

Even worse. 8 wickets; Shahadat is not playing.

Today when Shakib was playing with Shahid I felt Shahadat a lot. If he was in the field for batting, it was possible for Shakib to make his century.

Advantage: Home ground, Confidence, Experience
Disadvantage: 90*2 overs to survive and I hear there is turn.

We are 63/1

Session 1: target 80 runs
Session 2: target 60 runs
Session 3: target 50 runs

190 + 63 = 253

5th day target now below 300,

do the same for 5th day and if wicket in hand go for extra 48 runs on Session 6.

Ahh, so easy in theory. Execution is impossible but well Shakib asked for a fight.

5th day? Do you think this match will go into 5th day? Australia/South Africa cant take it to 5th day even if Bangladesh were bowling.

We defied all odds in the first test. Never say never. We can take it to the 5th day but may not get a result in our favour.

I doubt we would have been 3 down if we didn't even THINK about a win, but rather just SURVIVE.

The thread opener probably has close connection with the team management. That's how team plans get leaked.

He hasn't seen BD play enough test matches to know this is natural lol

I'm not even going to bother pointing out the date, but you do realize Rahim has a tendency to talk big before a match/series and go on to do the opposite?

^ The problem is in game awareness....but looks like they want to have the belief of "attack is the best form of defence" everytime...which was evident today on how miserably that failed...anyways....it's clear from approach today on what was going on in the minds of players...and my point was team hadn't shifted away from mushfiq's pre-match comments...anyways....humiliating loss....which is setting the tone for a disastrous test against ind too...
