True...I've seen U19 live at TV after that WC match, where Aftab scored a 50 against India.

Oh, thank god! I made a big mess trying to capture from Sky Player. It was buffering like hell all day-night when I was trying to record bits and pieces from the matches. Then even though thankfully I managed to fix that by the end of the match and was able to capture good quality record of the end of the match highlights, I found out that the files are almost around 2GB. ....Now I was thinking of doing video editing and stuf...but thank god you've done it, so i'm relieved ....... And oh yes; well done, the cubs.

I have seen whole BD bowling and end of the batting. I must say Shaker and Mahmudul are quality spinner. They will be very valuable for us if they can progress accordingly from here. Shabir could be a good player for one-dayers but I don't think he is good leg spinner as he is kind of finger spinner! Nur is much better spinner than Shabbir but he has to work with his line and length a lot. if he works hard he will be a descent leg spinner I think. Alauddin is smart. Mahmud has a good head.

Good series win, will boost their confidence. They looked very deciplined, focused and active. Fielding, field placing, bowling change was excellent job from captain, finally leading win from front is a great job. All in all great team spirit, well done kids.

CI Report
Hasan guides Bangladesh to series win
Cricinfo staff
July 25, 2009
Text size: A | A
Bangladesh Under-19s 197 for 9 in 49 overs (Mahmadul Hasan 70, Briggs 3-23) beat England Under-19s 196 for 8 in 50 overs (Northeast 62) by one wicket
Scorecard
Bangladesh Under-19s won the ODI series against England Under-19s after a thrilling one-wicket victory in the deciding fifth one-dayer at Hove on Friday.
In a low scoring game, Bangladesh needed six runs to win in the final two overs with two wickets in hand, but Nur Hossain was run-out to give England a sniff of victory. However, Bangladesh scrambled past the finish line with a single when England missed a run-out opportunity to hand the tourists a win.
Bangladesh's chase was led by captain Mahmudul Hasan, who top scored with 70 from 85 balls. Coming in after his team was reduced to 59 for 4, Hasan anchored the innings, and was well supported by Alauddin Babu, who stayed till the end with an unbeaten 24 off 30 balls.
Earlier, England could not generate any momentum while batting, and the in-form Sam Northeast scored the only half-century of the innings. The Bangladesh bowlers kept a tight leash, limiting England to 196 for 8 in 50 overs.
Bangladesh won the ODI series 2-1 after losing the two-match Test series 0-1, and will finish their tour of England with two Twenty20s beginning on Tuesday at Lincolnshire.

Good stuff. আনন্দের ব্যাপার কিন্তু লাফা-লাফিটা একটু কম হলেই ভাল।
I sure hope that none of these guys get goaded into the senior side before they're ready, and find themselves discarded by 25. They're playing other U-19 sides from systems who intend to develop these guys through prolonged exposure to quality FC cricket and A Team tours before being considered. That's the norm with very few exceptions. Guys like Michael Clarke or Parnell are exceptional players from systems that can tell the difference.
We need to pay attention to the HUGE gap that exists between the U19 and the highest levels, and build on U19 success with that fact in mind.
