Mushfiq missed Tamim and we missed Mushfiq...hopefully, our top-order batsmen will learn something from Nasir.
Good job Nasir...you could've been the MOM!

I never understood why people (other than Paks fan) hated Afridi's celebration. This is the first time I've seen him do it against us. Man, that sh*t's annoying! I just wanna kick him in the sack.
And those white people in the stands must have been very confused when Afridi was batting and bowling. "Which one is the home team?! Why are you cheering for them!?" They were probably the most patriotic fans out there last night.

Does it hold the distinction for being the only match thread getting locked?

Don't think any Bangladesh fan wants to relive this but if you, like me, missed the live streaming of the match - you can watch the highlights here:
http://www.mycrickethighlights.com/p...ghlights-2011/
The bowling performance was, at least, pretty enjoyable to watch. Shakibrulz might like to see Shakib's 2nd over and 3rd over to Hafeez (30:30 onwards)

In any sports, one will win and one will lose. So it doesnt mean we should start fighting each others. So all the shallow minded people, please take a chill pill and be a sport. Let's enjoy the competition in this series and not fight each other off the field.
We are sporting enough to accept the defeat and look for the next event. Good luck to Bangladesh team and may the best team win.

I love how AAK asked Tamim "what would be a chase able total for BD," at the end of that little interview of his, even though Tamim mentioned 130 like 3 times.

Pretty good catch by Nasir on the boundary there, great control and confidence.

I told you...I mentioned the dread with which I was looking forward to this in the Pak vs SL thread.
His legs spread, arse in the air, right index finger pointed towards the heavens...if only someone would give him a meaty kick in his keister.

Every time Afridi does that stance I say we get Nasir to do his 'suck it' stance to the Paks when he gets a wicket.

What's with AAK's ugly phony tail? It's not even long enough to be called a PT or to be tied up. Like those lushes hair was really getting on his way, so he had to use a rubber band..

It was for the best. Don't have the net installed until after the Pakistan series. You'll be happier.

A few points
1. BD were relying on their bowlers as batting line up is shaky
2. Pitch was spin friendly to say the least
3. The plan was to win the toss and bat first and put up a moderately good total
4. Then use BDs excellent bowling resources to restrict Pakistan
Plan backfired the moment the toss was lost
Plan B was to restrict Pakistan to a very low total - that failed too.
I really think its in BDs interest to have good batting tracks - one belligerent innings from a BD batsman and who knows how Pakistan will react?

Agreed.
Our bowling side is decent enough compare to batting side. Our bowlers somehow manage to bowl good on any pitch. But our batters are too much vulnerable. Most of our batters are not accustomed to bowling friendly pitch. Moreover, many of them are out of form. They badly need runs to have their confidence back. If our batters can manage to score a challenging score then our bowlers more than capable to defend it. But i dont have faith in our batters. No matter how small the target may be, they always seem to be panicked and confused.
