Give him some pills so that he can grow few inches taller. That is all I pray, hope and request. His reach is not intl standard. if anyone has seen Khaled Mashud hands (tiger like paws)? They are extremely large to his size. I say, Mushi needs to camp for a month in Rajshahi before the domestic season starts. he needs to improve his keeping. That is his primary job. If he does that properly no one can take his place in the team. Zunaed can do a similar job as Mushi behind the stumps at this point.

Sorry ATMR for being harsh on your boy. He is a solid batsman though.

He needs to live in a largish cage with pigeons and try and catch them. And get finger elongation surgery.

Everything about Mushfiq...hmm...

- Well, he's from Bogura.

- Talks a lot.

- Once had his nose broken by police.

- Keeps well.

- He can bat.

- Very creative in nick naming his team mates. Moyna(Shakib), Lala(Razzak), Annie (Enam), Bhaista etc. etc...

- He is fitted with Energizer batteries in his vocal cord, only Bangladeshi player with this enhancement. He can go on and on and on and on......

- He is the actual pseudo-captain of the team, he captains the captain in every match. Example:
"Ash - aramse"
"Shakib, tui shamne ai"
"Riyad, oita char ba pach nombor e korbi"
"Tamim, emni emni hobe na to, cheshta korte hobe"
"Shakib, Naeem re ball dibi naki?"

Yes, it seems, he remembers the game plan better than many others.

And....oh yes, he's only twenty.

his batting seems effective...solid technique, steady shot making... every match he makes few runs.

well under his captaincy(under 19) Shakib, Raquib, Tamim and many others have been playing for our cricket, so I guess he still has the captain tendency mentality. But the guy is very gutsy doesn't care much who is opposition as you can see from his bating and body language, which is very positive.

I wish very best all the way. Go RAHIM go !!

Inshallah, Mushfiq will be the best test batsman ever produced by Bangladesh one day. His batting technique, in my opinion, is fantastic in test match cricket. I believe he will have a test batting average of at least 40 one day.

Yes, Mushfiq is gangsta. Even the older kids in the team - even the captain - refers to him as "bhai". He may be playing under Shakib now, but there was a time when he was the boss of the latter, Tamim, Rakib, Nazim, et al.

Only Ashraful is a bigga gangsta than him. No one in the team messes with Ashraful, NO ONE. Now whether that's a good thing or a bad thing (because he gets away with scoring strings of ducks) is a different story.

Glad to see a thread dedicated for Mushy.
He's gonna be bigger star for bd cricket than a lot of us can think of.
I was so heartbroken to see him fall at 98 in the 5th odi. He deserved the century.
Like Tamim says," there's much more to come".....
The future of bd cricket is Mushy!!!!

Go Mushy......

Good thread, mushfiq is indeed the most technically sound batsman we have in the team. I see him having a 30+ average in both ODI's and tests in 2 years. But he really needs to improve his keeping, he is in a very bad wicket keeping form. I remember his keeping at the first T20WC, it was great and stats do back it up, he got 7 dismissals out of 5 matches which was the 2nd highest number of total dismissals in the tournament sharing the place with boucher and gilchrist taking the top spot (duh) and the highest number of stumpings 3 which even beat gilchrist

Ya so heart breaking that Mushy missed his 98 & more importantly dismissed by that arrogant Price.
Anyway,I believe Mushy as a btsmn in Odi deserve more exposure,i mean sending him at n°6 or 7 must be discouraging for him.
He shld bat more as a top ordr.
Proud of u Mushy.

Mushfiq was one batch senior to Shakib at BKSP.

he is fine for tests and odi, but shouldnt be in the t20s. we need to search for a better striker with a higher SR for the t20.

Well that's not a very correct opinion to have.
