He is much better than mahmudullah in both bowling and batting...
Any bowler needs confidence to bowl his stock deliveries. I am not sure if he has any stock delivery or not. But even if he has, we won't see him using them until he is confident in his bowling.

Makes sense. SN is actually better in playing spin. But Imrul is struggling and needs a break I think. And team management wont play SN in the middle order..So rather than bringing in a new opener why not let SN to open since he knows how to get the job done? Or have someone within the team to open but really want to see Imrul get a break.

In that case, my test XI for the next match will be:
Tamim
SN
Nasir (YES give him a chance)
Mushy
Shakib
Rokibul
Mahmudullah
Naeem (zzzz......)
Sunny
Shahadat/Nazmul
Rubel

I hope Law would see his techniques and decide to put him in the middle order. We really do need a good batsmen in the middle who can accumulate runs quickly and has decent technique against pace and spin.

Why was he playing so aggressively today? Was that part of the plan to score quick runs or his natural way of playing in a test match? I hope he understands its a test match and doesn't need to slog every other ball.

it was part of the game plan as Nasir has been scoring quickly...Naeem on the other hand was super slow so Nasir had to go after everything.

I also felt it was a contest between the two to confirm their position for the next match. Naeem was showing "look I can block and can remain in the crease" while Nasir was saying "Dhuro, who cares about staying in the crease if you can't score runs. Look I can rotate strikes and find boundaries. I keep the scoreboard ticking".

Fascinating battle to watch.

Naeem, Nasir, Sunny, Rakibul and SN all are trying to confirm their position. Yes their approach is kind of different, but they are trying to showcase their strength and they all contibuted to the team so far, one way or another.

So it will be interesting to see who sits out to give room for Riyad.

Naeem can lose slot to Riyad, but can potentially gain a slot in the top order by showcasing his strength (staying power).

All will keep their position except IK, Ryad will enter the team, IK will out & SN will replace Kayes's position.

Job half done, he performed admirably in his role as a bowling all rounder, now we need to see the batting all rounder, hopefully sometime after lunch tomorrow...
