They need some fast bowlers. Brett Lee gonna flop big time. He can't even buy wickets in the Aussie domestic leagues. So far it is looking good for Shakib. KKR haven't gone for a spinner yet which suggests he will lead the spin attack. I think they will go in for Ganguly later on. They don't want to infuriate the Bangla public. But Gambhir is certain to captain.

KKR's pace bowling stocks look petty thin. I think Brett Lee is a bad buy at this point of his career - they should have gone for someone like Dirk Nannes, Doug Bollinger, Ryan Harris or Zaheer Khan instead.

^ As of right now they only have 5 Indian players. They will buy at least 5 or more Indian players so they still have time to buy a back up wicket keeper.

KKR doesnt really have a bowling attack, so they may play Shakib instead of Morgan, will lend more balance to the team.

Before supporting, I will wait to see if Shakib playes regularly or not. Haddin and Kallis are the sure shots, very difficult to leave the pace of Lee out, Eoin Morgan is a T20 specialist, tendo is known for big hitting and accurate bowling. If the squad has good spinners, Shakib may find it difficult to make the XI. Ideally, all the all rounders, Shakib, Kallis and tendo should play.

i think shakib will be included, and barring dismal performances, will be kept there,

following the exclusion of ganguly, kkr really need someone who has a connection to their main fanbase.
i think a major reason they bought shakib was to in a way makeup for ganguly

hoping kkr atleast make it to the top 3 so hopefully we can see shakib play in the champions league and gain some more exposure
