Default Difference between Tamim and Raval

Raval is a proper test player. Congrats on the maiden century.

BD still have chance to draw this test, they need to stand farm in next innings. Shadman, Mominul, Tamim, Soummya, Riad, Mithun all have potential to linger on and earn some dogged tons. Nevertheless crumbling to a bogus bowler like Wagner is not acceptable.

Maiden century doesn't count if its against us, anyone can pull that feat off.

Want to see this Raval tour Bangladesh first and face Shakib-Taijul-Miraz in Dhaka/Chittagong

The difference is Tamim got his hundred at nearly run a ball against a strong bowling attack under pressure. As someone pointed out I would love to see Raval play in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh really has not produced a true Test batsman. Mominul showed some initial promise but now he has seems to broken it

Thank god Tamim didn't bat like a proper test batsman because if he had done that the Bangladesh team would have been all out before he reached his 50

715/6. This was a batting paradise.

That doesn't change the fact the test is 5 days long. This is a batting paradise if you apply yourself.

Since you are kinda new I will try to explain nicely.

Test is not going after the loose ball and play risky shots. That is a limited over games trait. That even in the first session of the match. It is all about setting it up for the victory little by little (winning sessions). You win sessions by frustrating the opponent bowlers. You win by leaving the balls out side the off stump. You win by surviving the session, the day. Two days under the sun, fielding and bowling takes them out of their comfort zone. Then they panic because the onus is on them to win against lowly ranked BD team. See Raval's innings and not Tamim's as example.

I only troll against Mohamodons and some Indians (tit for tat). Loved Tamim's courage. No one can question that. After 14+ years of test cricket, if he plays like a man possessed, then this thread has a place.

Nice guess through.

That means he is not a proper test batsman. You become one when you learn to leave the ball outside the off stump, or duck when they are sending bouncers. Not going after the bowlers as "ORDINARY" bowlers.

5 din'er test, 1st session'ei result hoiye jai. Then painful watching or wishing like "One World". Miracle happens.

Tacharao u hv to bujhte hobey shamney World cup, eto slow century koira ki hobey, tar upor cheleta kebol BPL e 60 ball e 100+ kore ashchey.

Jokes aside I tjink it all goes down to where yr self beliefe is stronger.
It can be stronger in yr defense or stronger in your attack.
For TI its the attack where his self-belief lies specially in these different conditions.
At the end of the day he alone scored 200 runs, doesn't matter if those runs came in 200 balls or 400.
And also let's not forget he also has the slowest test hundred for BD.
So he is very much capable to play according to the situation.

Let's just see if they can survive this day. This should be the only thing on their minds now.
