hahaha i know
we should announce this squad[after BPL(one or two changes may apply for super hit/flop performance in BPL although it's a T20 tournament which shouldn't affect test/ODI squad)] and make it 14 men squad after warm up matches in Srilanka.

Jurgensen set to continue
Jurgensen set to continue
SHANE JURGENSEN
Shane Jurgensen likely to continue as interim coach for the March tour of Sri Lanka.
Four to five applications for head coach received but the level of response not satisfactory, says cricket operations committee chairman Enayet Hossain Siraj.
Shane Jurgensen is likely to continue as interim head coach of the Bangladesh cricket team for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka as the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) got poor response regarding the appointment of a new coach.
“As far as I know, four to five applications have been received before the January 25 deadline. Now the cricket operations committee will evaluate all the applications and see whether there are any that meet our demands and if not, then Shane Jurgensen is there,” said BCB's media committee chairman Jalal Yunus, adding that they are also trying individually to find a suitable coach.
Enayet Hossain Siraj, chairman of BCB's cricket operations committee however said that the response was not satisfactory, which is the reason that Jurgensen is very likely to continue as interim head coach.

Just keep Shane as Bangladesh coach, the amount of coaches we have had in the past just shows how complicated it can be for Bangladesh Cricket and instead search for a new batting coach.
Also I hope that new ICC Vice President Kamal guy can raise our ODI series with Sri Lanka to 5 matches instead of the customary 3 considering we won't be participating in ICC Champions Trophy and hopefully get as much Cricket as possible.
Test squad for Sri Lanka:-
Tamim, Anamul, Marshall, Shahriar, Shakib, Nasir, Rahim, Mahmudullah, Gazi, Mashrafe and Rubel...reserves...Naeem, Shafiul, Abul, Sunny and Mominul.
ODI squad for Sri Lanka:-
Tamim, Anamul, Shahriar, Shakib, Nasir, Mahmudullah, Rahim, Gazi, Mashrafe, Razzak and Rubel...reserves...Nazmul, Mominul, Abul, Shafiul and Milon/Shamsur.
Also reading all the comments on this thread, shocked to see just how negative our fellow fans are. This is not the Sri Lanka that had world class players like Murali, De Silva, Marvon etc they too have the new young guys replacing them and only left with 3 top senior players which could be the difference of the 2 teams. Malinga won't be playing tests but BPL should have recruited him so our players would've got a taste of him and would know what to expect. I think Sri Lanka will win the test series but not by an innings and Bangladesh will win the ODI series as my predictions lets see.

Should be 5 ODI matches we don't play enough simple as that. If we can beat West Indies and New Zealand in a 5 match series then Sri Lanka won't be a problem. Also no matches held at Colombo? but seriously, these long gaps between International series is ridiculous and needs to be changed. Hopefully we can beat Sri Lanka and show that this Bangladesh team is certainly going on the right track and remove that minnow tag.
Well since Irish and Afghanistan players are doing quite well in BPL 2, might as well arrange games with them and play to keep us busy. I heard plans that Ireland will be asking Bangladesh to play an ODI series later in the year and I don't want to see Bangladesh refuse it. It would be a good thing considering we won't be playing in that meaningless dead ICC Trophy. I would like to see one day Bangladesh take on Afghanistan in a T20 and ODI series so that both teams can get the experience required.
That reminds me after that Sri Lanka tour, Bangladesh head straight to Zimbabwe for another full series but I really hope they raise the test series to 3 matches because both teams really need as much Cricket as possible.

Nice packed schedule. Seems like they wanted to finish it before IPL starts. Fair enough call.
What about practice match ? Do we play any warm up, specially before test ? We should.

Why has SL moved away from grounds like the SSC and the RPS in Colombo? Also no matches in Kandy nowadays...
Should have been 5 ODIs, but we can make it 5 when we host them I guess.

I guess the 2nd test may be played in Colombo as still has a tbc next to it. We are playing in Kandy (Palekelle) but not at the old ground

He doesn't look so fat to me...I guess after being used to seeing players like Shafiul etc even that would look fat.
