do you guys realize that this is Shakib's first champion's trophy win in a multi-team tournament despite all his brilliant shows in the past? i am sure he is cherishing the moment just like he should.....

but a part of me, perhaps the pessimist part, questions all our celebration. after all, it's just the indian first class cricket, not even an international tournament. i wish it were the bangladesh team winning the world cup..... what would have happened? would we just have heart attacks from too much joy? or would bc have earthquakes? do you guys think we will see that day from the current generation of players?

Shakib played well tonight.

Contributed well in all 3 aspects of the game in crunch time. Glad to see him finally be on the winning side of a major tournament.

Well done Shakib!

When Sakib went to KKR, he told that he wants to help KKR win IPL to forget the loss in the Asia Cup final. And, boy, he did keep his word. He was there at the wining moment.

Just a coincidence that KKR needed 9 runs to win in the final over. Exactly the same: BD needed 9 runs to win in the final over of Asia cup. BD couldn't do it, but KKR did got the runs.

I read his pre-match analysis, he told that, indeed. Even after starting the match yesterdy, he expressed his thought with it. FYI, at that time he knew the final 11 and was surprised to see the team.

Here is the exact para:

Source . You can only see it in IE.

If Ganguly were the captain of KKR, Shakib would have been dropped in the final for sure.

^Looks like Danguli can't have enough of benching Bangladeshis. What a moronic loser! If it was up to him, KKR would have finished first at the bottom of the table. No wonder he gets kicked out in a humiliating way from every team he plays for.

If Khulna and KKR ever get into the CLT20 league in the same year then i hope Shakib plays for Khulna over KKR.

^ For that, BPL need to be staged first next season and keep it's brand value intact to attract enough international players.

At the post-match press conference, Gambhir said the late cameos from Manoj Tiwary and Shakib Al Hasan played a critical role. "It's not about how you start, it's about how you finish. Those cameos from Manoj and Shakib won the game for us."

Great to see his efforts being appreciated. So we can expect a full Champions trophy/IPL 5 for Shakib, if he's available. Looks like they have bonded really well

dada apni ekta gadha. Real gadha.... Amon ekta vab dhoren shobshomoi je shob bujhen. Kintu purai brainless. Purai. I still remember when he was commentating in last England-India series played in England. He made drama with ravi shastri with just some unacceptable pre match comments. One thing particularly so funny when he told India should've bat. He also told bowling in that match could be suicidal India choose batting and all out with 120 or something. So he is actually a brainless man. Too much stupid still playing cricket. Never thinks of retirement after so much drama. Shameless stupid. A real badass.

Despite his infrequent appearances, he still managed to get the top all-rounder honours in IPL 2012.

That came as a surprise. After missing out so many matches he still manages to get the best allrounder honor shows that what GEM of a player he is. Thank You Shakib for being a Bangladeshi
