Rain: our chances....
After 17 overs...
WI - 76/2
BD - 90/4
All it needs is 25 overs minimum to be able to play. If rain stops, and there is time to play 8 overs, we might have a shot.
D/L method will kick in. Right now we are ahead of WI, but I dont know how D/L calculates the target. So might not have a shot.
Lets hope we do.

If we get the 8 overs, we will probably have to score about a 100 runs in 8 overs. We probably have a greater chance of doing that then getting 276!

Our chances ?
Cricinfo hasn't really given us much but let's see:
By the 25th over, WI was 101 for 2. unfortunately, that's not what we'll have to score.
Here is a link from cricinfo:

(I'll link it in the next post)

Yeah that D/L method is more complicated than I thought it was. I think my calculators battery died. I wanted to see how it ended. I wasted 6 hours and now NO RESULT - this is crap!!

Here\'s the link
Get your calculators ready. The only way this could help you is if you set it up in an excel/lotus format. If you try to do it all in your head, you'd be in serious doodoo (unless you're a genius).

needed 137/4 in 25 overs
i did the math in my head - no actually there is a quote from mohsin kamal in dS:
"We had a chance of winning if 25 overs were completed. According to the Duckworth-Lewis method, we needed to score 137 in 25 overs not losing more than four wickets for the victory. It was very much within our reach since Kapali and Sanwar were set in the middle," said Bangladesh coach Mohsin Kamal after the match was officially called off.
would have made for interesting cricket! wonder why they couldn't continue play the next morning...

This worries me
that everyone is starting to feel confident after the first match. Granted both Sanwar and Kapali were set and we had a boatload of 'all rounders' who could probably score some more runs, but I doubt that they would've been able to score 47 runs without losing a wicket in the last 8 overs (remember, the more wickets you lose, the more you have to score to win under D/L method) , or chase down 275 in 50 overs.
