BC Chat has been in action since 2003. During all this time it has always been IRC based. I guess finally that has come to an end. IRC chatroom would not be used anymore. Over the years we have had lots of fun moments in the BC chat. I am hoping this new version would be even more fun with lot more users.

This chat room is completely integrated with the forum. If you would like to participate you must be registered user. Guests can login as viewer only; i.e. they won't be able to type/post anything in chat.

Hopefully upcoming series would see good crowd int he chatroom!

Chat room has been embedded into Match Thread. It will automatically show up in Match Threads.

There are still some kinks that needs to be worked out; but overall the chat is functional in the Match Thread. Only registered members can participate in chat. Guests can join as reader only.

Those who want to disable the chatroom, will be have to wait. That functionality will show up soon.

If you don't like it, you would be able to disable it.

Chat on match thread isn't going away; it's here to stay.

As far as orientation; I might put it vertically if that turns out better.

this new chat solicitation in the match threads are ultra-gay. i know how to access the chat feature. i don't need it to block half my screen when i'm trying to scroll the match threads. whats worse it its still up before and after a match.

can we at least have an option of hiding that thing?

sorry for posting in the wrong forum, but i want this thing taken care of soon.

It results in chatroom flooded with "x logged in", "x logged out" messages.

You should read the support forum. I have already mentioned several times that the hiding feature will be added soon.

Be patient.

And Asad, as a long time member, you should know that this should have been created in support forum. You could even post it under Chat thread in support forum, instead of creating whole new thread. I have now merged this thread with the chat thread.

Chat window updated in match thread to be displayed as vertical window as well as included option minimize it.

Need to do few more tweaks. For now its fine.

For those who are confused, click on the tab icon at the top right corner of match thread to enable chat. It looks like this:

There is no option to disable it. If I log out on chat box, it logs me back on when I come back to Match thread
