How can Soumya have fewer points that Saifuddin? This shows that this is inaccurate.

How many fifties and hundreds has your Soumya scored? Those stats dont lie about players contributions just look at how much ahead Shakib is compared to rest of the team and Mashrafe/Mithun/Tamim is nowhere to be found among the top contributors, Fizz is also lower down in that list along with Mahmudullah. These points take into account Economy Rate and Strike Rates as well, giving negative points for both if not good.

amader shuper ishtar Shoummo Shorkar, who is meant to be our version of Ganguly, and is meant to take our batting to the next level, is currently averaging 20 odd in this World Cup.

My ideal team is
1)Tamim/Liton
2)Sarkar
3) shakib
4) mushi
5) mosaddek/Dullah
6)Shabbir/Dullah
7) Miraz
8) Shaifuddin
9) Mash
10) Rubel
11)Fizz

I don't really see why we need Mithun in the team to elongate our batting order.

Thing is why will you leave out Mosaddek? The kid has been playing well and looks really at ease whenever he is at the crease not to mention he can bowl some off-spin too and why would you want to push down Shakib to number 4? When he has been doing amazing at number 3 just to accommodate Liton in the squad? Either Liton plays as an opener or he doesn't

The only change I see happening is Mithun out Liton in. No one in their right mind will change our top 3. Mosaddek should also keep his spot as he is in good touch and needs more games to build some consistency

Don't worry boy, I deleted the post and put it back to match thread before everybody knows it.

But have to agree on match threads, they should be sticky.

Exactly. He can play in Mithun's place or promote Dullah in place of Mithun and get Rubel in. We don't need such a long batting line-up

This will be my team for WI game

Tamim
Liton
Soumya
Shakib
Mushy
Riyad
Saif/Mosaddek/Shabbir
Miraz
Mash
Rubel
Fizz

Reasoning:
1. Six specialist batsmen, five specialist bowlers
2. There can only one spot for bits and pieces allrounder - depending on pitch, Mosaddek or Saif or Shabbir shall play
3. Even though Shakib will be at no 4, against Oshane Thomas and Co, there is a great probability that BD may lose two quick wickets. Thus figuratively Shak will remain at no 3.
4. Liton must play as an opener because he is not a lower order batsmen
5. Given how destructive WI batting can be, five specialist bowlers is a must. If one of them is having off day, Mash can turn to Mosa/Saif/Shabbir.

Hmm, might need an extra spinner due to how prone WI are against them, they would very much rather prefer pace on the ball. I'd go with Mossadek

The stadium they are playing is one of the smallest. Spinners will be murdered here by windies mussle
