How many teams will be there in the series? Fixtures? Have these players played in NCL yet? Any particular prospect? Good idea!

There will be 3 teams in the series. BCB haven't yet announced the fixture of the series.

Have to check the names in more detail to find out their NCL associations, but most probably they are yet to make the first class debut.

I don't think any of those boys played in NCL. Mominul Haque, Mohammad Furkan, and Mohammad Sukran have played few matches in Dhaka premier league. Saikat Ali is the only one who has played for Bangladesh U/19 team. This will be a low-key tournament as leading U/19 players (who may be eligible to play in 2010) i.e. Nasir Hossain, Mahmudul Hasan, Tapash Ghosh, etc will be busy playing for BKSP in the Dhaka premier super league.

Few U/15 players i.e. Nazeef, Didar, and Rakin should have been included in this tournament.

BTW, where is Ariful Haque ?

Correction, Mohammad Sukran has played 3 list-A matches for Dhaka Division. I believe he is an SLA.

I like competitions like this. We should have the best in all age groups play each other more often.

I believe he is actually from Willis Little Flower. If I remember correctly, his name came up in the news few years ago for some explosive centuries in school leagues.

The start of the U/19 camp got deferred to 23rd of this month. This is a good move provided Nasir, Mahmudul, Tapash, and Shakil can join the camp after the premier league (that is supposed to end by this time).

Ah!
another Willes boy!
they just keep coming good....

Nice initiative by BCB.
Seems like we might have to wait for the next gen of cricketers to make any impact. this current generation is worse than our former players who were less gifted but more hard-workers.

Got the answer - there will be a series between BCB and CAB U/17 teams, starting 1st June. The series will include three two-day and two one-day matches. The venue for the series is Rangpur Cricket Garden.
