I've got an unused Teletalk 3G sim lying around which I've decided to use now.
So, need to buy a second phone.

Currently using an iPhone 5, so dont want anything too fancy.
Something around 30K, preferably 6-7 inch screen.

Any suggestions ??

30K is huge, you'll get a lot of fancy ones in that range.

Since you already has an iphone, you can look for those mid range Samsung Galaxy or Sony Xperia phones running the latest Android OS. Will be a different experience from your iphone.

^^ Thanks for your suggestion.
Yes, something of a different experience won't be a bad idea.
Been using iPhone, iPad, and iPod for a while now.
Didn't look for other options but now with the opportunity with a second phone, looking for a different experience.

Thinking between mid ranged Samsung or google's nexus/moto x.
30k isn't that huge here in Dhaka. It covers mid range.

I got tired of apple and now using Nokia Lumia. Its not so expensive and the interface is entirely different and colorful. Enjoying it very much. Prices vary between 520, 620,720 and 920. For a larger screen mid range 720 is probably the best pick even though i am using a 620 right now

ajfar bhai, if you look at only HTC one alone it will give you impression of the best good looking and well built anroid phone in the market. But when you physically try it or any other phones side by side with S4. S4 beats all in all direction.

I went to shop to buy HTC one. S4 breaks my heart and end up buying none for that moment. Only my opinion.

I am using an iphone 4 for nearly 2. It might not be the latest or the best phone out there but Allhamdullilah it works fine for me.

Personally I like the feel and design of the iphone. I have dropped it on a number of occasions and it is still solid.

rabz bhai, if you want 6-7 inch screen, then go for galaxy note 2. But I think 7 inch would be too big to use as a phone. Most of the mini tablets (google nexus, samsung mini tablets) are inches and iPad mini is 7.9 inches.

I like my iPhone and it caters to all my needs, except watching flash vidoes and chorai cricket links. Galaxy S4 obviously has more features i.e. hand gestures, but the phone has a very plastic feeling. Then you have HTC One, which has a great feel. Finally there is Nokia Lumia phones, running on windows, which has the best camera on the market.

Lol... S4 DOES NOT beat the HTC one... HTC one is the best phone out right now. Both of my brother has it and they love it. I use Nexus 4 and i loooooovee it more than anything. My next phone will be Nexus 5. Nothing is better than pure android experience.

If BB q10 goes down in price I might be tempted. I know it doesn't have a million apps but personally I miss the feeling of pressing buttons.

It's overpriced atm and I hope RIM dcide to lower its prices like its done for he q10.

Question for you guys, I am traveling to BD later this week and plan to take my old Galaxy SII. Can I take my charger and use a 220 v adapter, or do I need a converter to 120v? Or can I use one of my relatives charger from BD that fits a samsung? Also, I have a iPhone 4 with cracked glass, are there places in Dhaka that repair them, for cheap?

These days all chargers are dual voltage. Read the small print on your charger. I haven't used an adapter in years and I frequently travel between 120 and 240 lands.
And if on the rate off chance your charger is 120 only and local charger with the correct USB end will work.

Yes they repair them for cheap, but the parts (digitizer, glass) are more expensive. You might as well buy the parts from ebay and take it with you for someone to install it. Bashundhara city has shops that do iPhones and smartphones.

But, buyer beware... you will get no warranty for the service or the parts. If you can live with that (I usually can) you'll be fine.
