BPL fixing allegations
Sad. Very sad news if it is true. A shame indeed. Nothing more I have to say.

Sad and shameful. If true. I'm going to stay mostly quiet until facts start coming to fore.

Absolutely furious here, need to break something big, need to break something bad. This sissy should have been dropped permanently and made to play Clemon Indoor cricket ten years ago. Ban him for life if this is true. Like letting us down for a decade wasn't enough - now our cricket will have to pay severely on top of that for his greed.

This is what happens when you continually reward sissiness and mediocrity.

Per Prothom-Alo newspaper, Ash was questioned by ICC officials regarding match fixing in BPL!
Per PA, Ash agreed that he followed the owner's order...

Thanks KP bhai. I'll also wait until we get the whole story but if it's true, it'll be a real shame. Isn't PA pretty reliable though? So looks like there is a decent chance here that Ash is guilty.

I thought DG were one of the more professional ones. And why would they try to throw the game, they were hoping to get into CT20. Is Ash trying to throw someone else under the bus?

I'm happy to call this a blessing in disguise and ready to laugh it all the ash-fanboys. At least I won't have to deal with them for a while.
And what's with the weird titles of this threads!? Just be straight forward!

Ashrafixing matches.
I wouldn't have thought it would be him because he seemed focused in playing for the national team. I was wrong. Maybe he just wanted some quick cash. Hope i'm wrong...

^ I don't expect any of our this generation guys to do any of these sort of things. They seem well grounded, with good backgrounds, parents and educations.
May be the ICL-ers. Plus old batch of guys weren't even good enough to throw any games. They didn't have to. I guess we've "made it" ...

If it is Ashraful then my level of sadness would be the same as it was before. Purely because of his mediocrity time after time again.

This was the only way he could fall out of BD selectors' favor. He had a love-hate relationship with BD cricket fans for not being too sincere in the relationship. Now that he cheated; a breakup is in order.
Blessing in disguise for the national team if he is found guilty and banned.

why ash only be the person to be blamed if the game was fixed? there were 10 more players in the team. shah's out, stevens out , even bijoy's out was questionable. it was not ash who decided to drop mash. even pont was not aware that mash is not playing.
until the full report is not published, i think we should stop this blaming game.

Look, sometimes one bad player is enough to spoil a match. I watched that match live from the stadium, i felt there was something strange going on. No one pointed fingers at the others in the match
Ashraful batting was so slow that it gave everyone headache. In the process, he put a lot of pressure on the others who ended up getting out trying to free their arms

You definitely saw the game in stadium then.
steven's run out, shah's strange shot, bijoy's skyer all happened well before ash started playing test that day. a team like DG is not dependent on only one player when they have match winners in every single player.
i personally do not think ash would do such thing, as he would have done it well before in his ICL offer. both he and mash got 10cr a year offer from ICL and both of them rejected. so i have some respect for mash and ash from that time.
lets hope the real culprit (if true) get punished and such match fixing (its not spot fixing) does not occur in any level of our cricket. ICL was a bad stage for BD cricket which we have overcome, i hope there is no such scandal in BD cricket.
