We don’t need no Afghani inspiration or pilao from them. We should be proud of our own biryani!

Just self belief! We have, we can and we will InshahAllah.

Just look at how brave our players like Mushfiqur, Mahmadullah, Mashrafee, Kayes and Fizz did.

Let’s not forget the brave Tamim who came in front for his country !

Saw a pic of Walsh coaching Sarkar with the ball lol.

Most definitely going in with a spin heavy team with only Mash and Musta as pacers and Sarkar as back-up 'pacer' + batsman

Oh noo...why are they still persisting with Mithun ? Nagin raj played well last game. We should go with 2 pacers and 3 spinners.

Been there, seen that numerous times

So according the “expert” Zaheer Khan it will be one sided game if Bangladesh makes it to final. As if the two 8wickets and 9wickets win over Pakistan wasn’t one sided?

These ignorant people will not give you respect, lack of acknowledgement unless you start winning when it matters and win tournaments. Bangladesh must win today, win comfortably too. Bangladesh top players with 10+years experience must step up; Mushy, Shakib, Riyad, Kayes, Mashrafe, and the fire power Liton, Sarkars!

BD haven’t clicked with the bat as to their potential. This is the time!

India has been the strongest team of them all tbh and we have scrapped through beating Afghanistan and losing easily to India. We need to perform really well today IMO.

But Zaheer Khan is an expert of getting a smack on the face for a one sided game when he played, and a young kid like a marauder whacked him over long on for a six, as Bumble put it: cause its soon going to be his bed time

But jokes apart: Zaheer Khan is no expert otherwise he would regularly feature as a commie

Even Simon Doull sounded quite ignorant, being a kiwi he forgot the two whitewashes and the knockout his side got in the champions trophy too soon. I wonder if he would have said the same if it was a Sri Lanka or West Indies or even Afghanistan facing the Pakistan side today

This is why we need to win , we need to prove a point to these ignorant people. No matter how many series we win against top sides or how high we rank we need to give them something to remember and this tournament is one

During the BD vs SL game, Simon Doull was the first person to focus on the merits of Bangladesh rather than what was Harsha doing starting off the analysis with Sri Lankans demise.

There are only a few commies out there who have a positive frame of mind when it comes to Bangladesh. Our team sadly has always been looked down negatively by the media. Even Zimbabwe and Afghanistan get more recognition for their efforts than we do.

But to me this doesnt matter as much as it used to in the past of what commies say. All I want to see is my team performing well and that is the most important thing of all.

if Zaheer said anything less than India is namber wahun, his commie career is over. And he knows it! There's just too many bloated ex-players and so few tv time.

Anyways, I just get the feeling Shakib and Soumyo will do something special. Let's hope for the best!

Lets do a player by player prediction (assuming my XI is picked):

Liton Das - already fulfilled his quota, thus expecting a single digit score 7
Soumya Sarkar - Feeling he might find his mojo back, probably score 39
Imrul Kayes - Unlikely to produce another gem, thus expect 23 from him
Mushfiqur Rahim - also fulfilled is quota by that century, might score a 50
Mominul Haque (or Mithun) - At max he will score 15
Shakib Al-Hasan - due for a big score, but Shakib is not a dependable bat these days - hoping 40
Mahmudullah - in same position like Imrul - max 20
Mehidy Hasan Miraz - max 10
Mashrafe Mortaza - max 10
Mustafizur Rahman
Nazmul Hasan Apu

Extra + lower order: 16 runs

Batting first, we are likely to score between 240 and 255. I have trust in our bowlers, they will be able to defend 250+

3pm Alright then, the two captains walk out for the toss. Bangladesh win the toss and bat first.

Mashrafe: Looks like a good wicket. We lost many wickets in the middle during the last game, but Nos. 6 and 7 batted well last time, so hopefully we'll do well. Shanto is not playing. Soumya is coming back. Apu is not playing, and Rubel is backing. And big loss that Shkaib is not playing. He's fractured his finger. Fans have been supporting us.
