How else would you describe that shot? Why all that fancy crap? He knows he got out playing flicks and scoops many, many times! Why still do it? On a test match? He and Rahim was dominating! They were well set for Lunch! Punch that **** down the ground or pull it like a man and stop playing wussy shots!

শুধু শুধু ব্যাটসম্যানদের দোষ দিয়ে লাভ নাই। এ ধরনের শট খেলা এদের জেনেটিক সমস্যা।

That's letting them off easy. Gene plays no role here. Capability is genetic, but temperament can be developed, if there is a will.

Bangladesh batters throw away their wickets: Chanderpaul
DHAKA, Nov 2: West Indies batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul found Bangladeshi batters’ problem to throw away their wicket after getting set, said Mushfiqur Rahim.
The Bangladesh captain talked to the West Indian seasoned campaigner after the Test on his judgment about Bangladesh cricket. “ When you were batting, it never seemed you batsmen could get out. But after getting set, you just threw away your wicket. That’s your biggest problem,” Mushfiqur quoted Chanderpaul.
The Bangladesh captain was elated about Chanderpaul’s batting who took all pressure on his shoulder after the retirement of great Brian Lara. He batted with ease and calm, something the Bangladeshi batsmen could not do which also surprised Mushfiqur.
The diminutive glove-man inquired him about the fact. When he asked him how he batted with such calmness and solidity, Chanderpaul stressed on to work in net as long as possible.
“You have to bat long in the net and you also have take decision which ball you’ll leave and which you’ll play. You have to know about your strong and weak point and implement it in the ground regardless what the other people are saying about you.”

I can't believe people actually think Naeem can be a Test opener! The art of fast bowling truly must be dying (or dead) that we even dare to think of Naeem as a Test opener! If the likes of Gillespie, McGrath, Lee, Wasim, Waqar, Bond still were around he would have **** his pants! Lets get one thing clearer. Being able to defend the ball on flat pitches shouldn't give you a free ride to #2 spot on a International Test Squad.
But anyone but Imrul.

^ We need to stop picking up players and try to push them into a role, rather pick up players that actually fit the role to begin with. I would give Naeem a shot at number 4, he deserves it more than Rokibul. And that's where he usually bats at.

I agree. Naeem should either bat where he bats in domestic cricket (i.e. in the middle order) or not bat at all. Ideally, I'd like to see someone like Jahirul do well and earn the #4 spot, or Hom given a chance owing to his Hussey-like average in FC cricket.

Then again, when Riyad returns, where does he bat? Either Naeem or Nasir will likely get the chop when that happens.

Jialam will be perfect at #4 in test. He should open in ODI. Can't wait to see him return. Siddique at 3. Nafees to open.

It's been a real pleasure reading your posts during the series(I am a relative new comer to this forum, so no spiels about being a part of the family etc etc...) but that doesn't mean I don't recognize class when I see it.
Hopefully you'll continue to drop by time to time, and of course whenever our two nations(well as far as cricket is concerned) face off.

That's IF Jahurul performs on the A team tour. He hasn't scored a half century in a very long time in any form of game. Same with Junaid. Both of them need to help themselves out. We know they got it in them.
