For this XI, I'll go with the T20 XI except for Hom in for Kapali. Let Naeem fill in for Riyad and let up him bat a bit up the order. We should be good with this XI. One other possible preference would be to get Nazmul in to bowl as the third pacer but I'm not sure on who I would drop for that.

No need to change the team that played T20. Play with the same players for 1st ODI.

Our batting usually starts once Sir Ash gets out.

btw, Sir Ash actually got caught.

I hope the T-20 victory will not cover up our weaknesses that needs to be sorted out in the ODI series.
In the T-20 game:
Our pacers failed to get wickets with the new ball- i would say give Nazmul a chance because he bowls wicket to wicket and might get us a breakthrough.

We lost 4 wickets scoring 50 runs-Seriously need a capable batsman in between Tamim,Kayes,Ash,Shakib who are all unpredictable. I would say put Mushfiq somewhere in between as super glue for the batting order since Ryad is unavailable.

Didn't make use of Nasir and Alok while bowling- these two guys do not deserve a place solely on their batting. They should be viewed as batting alrounders just like Farhad Reza, Naeem etc. So in the 50 over game we better make a plan on how to maximize their contribution.

Openers need to play long innings- Since its Bishoo we are worried about most.. it is highly important that at least one left hander stays at the crease majority of the time. At the moment we have three out of which two are openers and usually do not survive till the spinners. This needs to change as we have only right handers to follow afterwards (apart from Shakib)

Ash had the second best score in the match. The way he got out was no different than Shakib, Alok and Naeem did. He was trying to make use of a ball that was wide of off stump. It could have been easily 4 had he lifted the ball a bit higher.

Here is the team and its order.

Tamim
Imrul
Nafees
Ash
Mushfiq
Nasir
Shakib
Naeem
Razzak
Rubel
Shafiul

We have brittle middle order, Mushfiq and Nasir need to go up the order and Shakib in no. 7.

^^^ can't understand your logic... if we have a brittle middle order then why send Nasir ahead of Shakib who is easily the best player in ODIs? Did you see how Nasir batted yesterday?
A top four consisting of Tamim, Kayes, SN and Ash is a recipe for disaster... all of them lack temperament and prone to brain farts. We will most likely be 4 wkts down before 50 runs

The playing XI will be the same from the T20I. Mushy will bat most likely at #4 and Alok will bat at #6.

Riyad does not want to bat up the order even if he was available. It is a good idea to send mushfiq at 4. But this jeopardize Hom's inclusion which is not a problem at the moment since he is out of touch. I will only consider one of nafees and ash at no 3. 3 is hopeless.

I am just wondering if alok doesnt live upto expectation who should replace him. The only contender is see is naeem who is horrible at low down and who is already a replacement for Riyad this series. In that case I am guessing they will bring in Hom at 4 and send mushfiq at either 5 or 6. I just don't like the shuffling in the order so much even for the ones who made their places permanent ie Shakib,Mushfiq Riyad.

A person is scoring at an average of 15 in ODI for last 2 years and he is prevailing in the team means he hat got the certificate to do whatever he want and he will never improve.Though i wish he will show sign of improvement under new coach and captain. If he fail in this new era he will never.
