good news
Bangladesh coach agrees new deal?
Whatmore reported to have agreed new contract

April 18, 2005
As the Bangladesh squad headed for Chittagong to complete their preparations for their forthcoming tour of England, the local newspapers were reporting that Dav Whatmore, the coach, had agreed a two-year extension to his contract.
Whatmore's existing deal expires on April 30, and sources in Dhaka claimed that he had signed the new agreement at the weekend. He left the final training session in Dhaka early, with rumours suggesting that he was holding final talks with the Bangladesh board.
The squad have been concentrating on fitness while in Dhaka, and the real work will start in the nets at Chittagong. There are, however, some injury worries, although board officials said that those concerned should be fit for the tour.
Bangladesh leave for England on May 7: they will play two Tests and take part in the triangular NatWest Series, which also involves Australia.

If its true, then yeah great! But none of the Bangladesh newspapers reported it today, they just speculated on it yesterday! This is further speculation and honestly, is really becoming stupid. Just wait till the final announcement comes and then we can all either celebrate or hold a mass mourning session!

crap. another crap. no true source or nothing.
everyone is coming up with whatever they think.
i'm not gonna belive anything until the official press brief is released that dave signed the contact. with bangladesh, india or srilanka, does not matter, but until he sign's somewhere, these kind of reports are utter useless.

Bhorer Kagoj is reporting just the opposite news. They are speculating that Dave is replacing John Wright. No source mentioned.
I think crickinfo staff is reporting after checking the authenticity of the news. Hopefully, DW will stay with us.

Janakantha is reporting that BCB has done everything but DW is not signing the contract paper, He left for Chittagong with the team, although he was supposed to sign on Saturday. One BCB official told the reporter that DW wants too check the Indian offer before signing. His salary has been raised from $8000 to $15000 by this cross bargaining. Here goes the report
