I did rattle that from memory. I had read extensively on the history of chess in the mid 80s when I was a serious competitive player in the local Dhaka tournaments.
Look it up - consider that a learning exercise. For example - when did the queen become more powerful (that sped the adoption of chess).

Hey Doc, Just curious during those time did you go to British Council/DU/Buet library? One of my concern of coming to Dhaka is lack of material resources and I rely on Neelkhet.
Where is the "stash" in Dhaka of Fountain of Knowledge. And just came back from library with 6 books on chess with one on history!

My Q - not the first time I'm pondering this - Does Doc have near Eidetic or Photographic memory?

Nope. I wish. I do retain well and the size of my cache is large. Well, I used to. It's getting more difficult the older I am getting.

A bit of Bangladesh history not documented. After the liberation, around 72/73 a Russian chess contingent came to newly independent Bangladesh. Among them there was a GRAND Master. And he could not win against a girl (woman) named Asma Alam. (Sohel bhai, can you guess who this "Alam" is?) She was in her mid 20s. She was a Freedom fighter as well.
Oh!! King. Without it there is no game.
