Manjarul Islam Rana in that list. What a promising young player he was!
Lalla, definetly, a legend as far as his bowling is concerned.

Was brilliant with the ball once again

You can always trust him with the ball. Either he will get you wickets or he will keep it tight.

But his batting

I feel bad for Raj. Even after so many injuries in the team, selectors ignored him for Test squad (though they have taken Ash for experience, though Ash had a bellow average FC season). He was the leading wicket taker of NCL till he left for national duty. NCL and BCL together, he has taken 54 wickets at average 18.89 and SR 43.39 (comparing to him, Enamul took 46 wickets at 24.70 average and SR 48.37). If anyone should be screaming "What else I need to do to get into the Test squad?!" it should be him.

i guess with ash he's at least performed at the test level even if inconsistently. razzak hasn't put up any good performances in tests, and with the strength of the SLA's BD has, razzak has had an amazing season but he doesn't always whereas the guys ahead of him have great seasons every year. selectors POV.

Abdur Razzak's last season was not bad either - 38 wickets at average 21.56 and SR 41.68 (he has not played that full season either). He is a much cannier bowler now than how he used to be.

I understood selectors prefering Enamul over him, but Sunny or Mosharraf does not offer anything extra-ordinary to be prefered over Raj. Only advantage Sunny has over him is that Lankans does not know him as well as they know Raj. Lets see if that do us any good.

There might be the Nasir's and the Ziaur's but your performance was very instrumental too Abdur Razzak. 1/10 off 6 overs with an economy rate of 1.66 is truly remarkable. Hats off to you Razzak.

Ranked 8th best ODI bowler in the world you are Bangladesh's best ODI bowler. I get sad when people don't acknowledge your performances.

got to be the best ODI bowler BD has produced to date. not only has he got the most ODI wickets by a Bangladeshi but his average is in the 27s and i think he's got the most 4/5 wicket hauls of any Bangladeshi in ODIs also. he went through a bad patch a couple of years ago but has come back strong.

Got to admit, this guy has been a great asset to our team. If you see his recent performance, he has been performing time and again for us but gets un-noticed due to the lack of "Swag"

very true. We in BC forget to mention or accredit his performances. I guess we are used to him performing well because he does it all the time.

probably the wicket of B Taylor is the most important wicket for BD and he took it with most probably the best delivery of the day ..... and the OFFSTUMP was rolling on the floor laughing

Agree if he didn't get that wicket...we would have seen a different result...wish he does the same rest of the series

http://www.espncricinfo.com/zimbabwe...ry/634010.html
Quote:
Saqlain Mushtaq has said the contribution of left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak's in Friday's 121-run over Zimbabwe has not gone unnoticed. Saqlain is now with Bangladesh was their spin bowling consultant, as part of his deal with the BCB to be in the role for 100 days in 2013.

He has been credited for guiding offspinner Sohag Gazi since his debut and has offering his advice to Razzak as well. Saqlain said that one wicket, that of Zimbabwe captain Brendan Taylor, was a vital contribution from a bowler who also had to adjust to the conditions.

"When someone comes back to the international arena, he needs some time to adjust to that climate," Saqlain said. "But I'm happy, because he got the wicket of the key man, Taylor. The captain was in very good form, he got hundreds in each innings of the first Test and I think he is their main player, and he took his wicket.

"I don't care about if he bowled flat. I just care about wickets, figures and how much a bowler contributes. He did a good job for us, took the main man out."

Saqlain revealed his conversation with Razzak in the dressing-room ahead of the Zimbabwe innings. "When he went inside I told him, 'we have done our preparations in the nets and we talked a lot about strategies. But now you are going on the field. You adjust according to the pitch, conditions and the situation. Try to play your game'."

Razzak's wicket of Taylor was the only one picked up by a spinner in the opening match of the series with the other eight being shared by the seamers Ziaur Rahman, Shafiul Islam and Robiul Islam. The pace bowlers also took 21 wickets in the Test series, while the spinners picked up 15. Saqlain sees the domination of the pace bowlers in the wicket-taking stakes as a welcome addition to the team's strength.
Again just quietly puts in his routine contribution which goes unnoticed by most fans. He was given the ball at a crucial time and arguably when Zim were in the driver's seat and he responded by taking out their main man and swinging the game in our favour.

Lol Zim were never in the driver's seat, having lost 2 wickets early. The game was either in the balance or in our hands, and that wicket killed the chances of Zimbabwe coming anywhere near 270

He's an unsung hero for sure. He's been 1 of our most consistent players in ODIs. Hope he keeps it up because he's a crucial aspect to our team
