Sorry Can't agree. Anamul did play in Zimbabwe T20 tournament under Mushy's captaincy. He didn't do anything significant there. Therefore he got the chop. If Anamul can put up a good show, Mushy cant stop him from playing. We should stay away.from such thoughts.

Far too many newcomers and if this happens then the first 2 ODIs will be lost. Can't believe Shakib got injured don't understand why they prepared such useless grounds in the first place for the tests. Management should've known that Shakib bowling too many overs will cause a problem and it has.

No one can replace a player of Shakib's calibre, let alone Bangladesh. So instead you should pick the best batsman/bowler available. Selectors have effed up big time by picking Naeem and Riyad in the same squad. Add Jahirul, and you have an exceedingly weak top order. This team won't be able to chase anything more than 220 and WI have a line-up that on this Khulna track can pound 350 with ease.
We're going to lose by 150 runs or 12+ wickets (Naeem and Riyad's strike rates mean they are batting for the WI).
Good thing I won't be able to watch this lame excuse for a cricket match.

Yet we pick Abul to play the role of strike bowler. Seriously, when will we just give up and hit the danguli fields? We don't deserve to play international cricket, ICC should relegate us and bring Ireland in.

Sure, Naeem or anybody else, nobody can replace Shakib as a whole package. So that logic can be applied to anybody ... not only to Naeem.
Bowling wise, I may be the minority here, but Naeem is under estimated. last time I saw him in ODI he was bolwing as well as Razzak and Shakib.

In short term, Run Rate wise, don't expect Anamul and/or Mominul will be any better than Naeem or Ryiad. Specially Anamul; he will struggle with the RR in his first few games. Zia is the exception. So we are doomed anyway with or without Naeem and/or Ryiad.

Why do these people put out false XI's? Happened with the Tests as well.
Ridiculous.

not really a team that gives me any hope.
Kaedge should have been there.
Jarul is a hit or miss player
Naeem should only play tests, even in tests apart from that hundred in next three innings he couldn't even manage a 40+
Momin is a new comer
Tamim i think will break the record for having the highest number of different opening partner.
Mash back after long time, don't know what to expect

is he phaster than Rubel!!! If we want to take conventional approach of using two pacers and use up their quota probably we will see to centuries when both of the pacers will bowl full 10 over quota...God knows what is coming to us in next few hours...Mayan prediction will happen on 29th of Nov instead of 21 Dec for our BD team

The only good thing about the ICC's [unfortunate] inaction and disregard for Irish and Afghan cricket is that it also means they don't care to remove Bangladesh!

Bowling is Naeem's only strong suit for this format...even then he's still just a part timer who will get max of 1-2 wickets. He won't win matches, but he can help to win a match.
However, we're not looking short term. Therefore picking Anamul and Mominul as part of the future was the right move over Naeem Riyad Jahirul. Later three are proven failures, OK maybe Jahirul hasn't had an extended run but Anamul and Mominul deserve it more. And for sure in hindsight the selection of SN and JS over Anamul in the Test series now looks retarded.

Not surprised to see such drama over playing XI. I am sure they will have a another go before the toss.

I think mominul should get chance in main xi, ahead of naeem or jahurul. My xi
Tamim
Naeem
Anamul
Mominul
Mushfiq
Nasir
Riad
Mashrafe
Razzaq
Sohag gazi
Rubel
We have 7 bowling option, hope mushy uses all of them according to team demand

Bangladesh basically depend on shakib and tamim, so without shakib our chances are very less. In test matches we played with 8 players and we knew that before toss, only selectors didnt know it. U can expect shakib and tamim perform in every single match, whenever they fail , we lose match. So its important to choose right team combo.

To me Mominul is a better candidate than Anamul at #3 as Mominul is more tested internationally through senior teams.

I see a 235ish batting team and 320ish bowling. So, we are going down by 100 or about 5wkts.

Lol Abul over Rubel...REALLY? Them selectors haven really been enchanted by that 100 it seems, Abul better score more than the runs he concedes.
With Naeem there, subtract our predicted score by 50.
