Default If things couldn\'t get any better...

First it was Younis Khan and now...

Pakistan recall Saqlain

One things for sure, the last of the tests in the series will be the ultimate trial of how much BD has really improved.

We can only get better if we play the best.

saqlain in place of shoaib - so gul and shabbir are the only 2 strike bowlers and they will go with 2 spinners? younis should also play in place of malik. on paper, they are stronger in batting but weaker in bowling if shoaib returns to county cricket.

on the other hand they have 3 newbies from the u-23 team that went to south africa. they may want to give some of them a shot before the SA tour comes up. in that case our chances could again improve.

bangladesh should keep the same team with the one bowling change - kabir out for either manju or tapash.

Default Wicket in Multan

Wicket in Multan is expected to be spin friendly. BD needs the part time bowlers (Ash, Kapali) to step up. If BD wants to draw or win they have got to get more wickets.

3 academy players

salman butt - 18 years old and is a left handed batsmen.

yasir ali - 18 years old right arm fast bowler.

more than likely that danish will be replaced by saqlain and yasir ali will come in for shoaib.

salman butt will probably replace shoaib malik for the third test.

Saqlain Mushtaq will make an impact in the next match or in odi. He is in peak form at English county side surrey. Unfortunately BD still needs to come to grips with Kaneria's spin before Saqlain even steps in.

I don't think so. He's averaging about 40 in the National League and about 30 in the county championship.

agree with Arnab

saqlain has had his worst season in county cricket. mainly because surreys pitch hasnt been as good for spinners than the last season.

to be honest the selectors should have recalled mushtaq ahmed back instead cause he's had a blinder of a season.

probably the best bowler in county cricket at present, wicket taking wise.

Default Even if he was in peak form for Surrey,

what does it matter? County cricket is the worst test of a bowler's ability or form. Just look at Ian Salisbury. Killer on the county circuit for Surrey, lame duck at Test level!

Saqlain will still find our batsman easy and get a 5-wicket-haul, if not more.
