That makes the game even more poised. Selfishly don;t want an Irish win.

Why? An Irish victory will be good for our chances of going through. Because Ireland has a much lower NRR than WI, we may still go through with 3 wins if Ireland wins today and then loses against the Dutch.

that is a ifs and buts situation...we have to win rest of the 3 games or we can kiss this WC goodbye

We will have to beat England. Windies have very good NRR

No, if WI lose to Ireland, England and India they will end up with 2 wins. If Ireland win against the WI and Netherlands, and lose against South Africa, they will have 3 wins. So, with 3 wins Bangladesh would be tied with Ireland, and NRR will come into play. But if Ireland lose to the Dutch, we won't have to worry about the NRR at all.

Ironically, had we played like this, we would have gotten to 230 or so and made a game out of the last match. The bowling is tight and they're combating deliveries to their merit - no need to do anything silly. It's always better to struggle to a fighting score than get bundled for 58, but you already knew that.

Ta thik bolchen, Asif bhai. But still they are a bit slow.

Ar amader 58 er sathe ki kono tulona chole bhai? Only a very few teams can score such a great total. And Bangladesh is one of them. We should be proud of it.

If Ireland wins this, each one of our team members (players and staff alike) should get a hard kick on his shameless buttocks.

One thing the subcontinental teams (except for maybe Srilanka) can learn from Irish is how they field, they are fielding like every run is precious. BD improved considerably from the past.

India and Pakistan are worst, drop sitters, instead of chasing the ball they will give directions to other fielders(which infuriates me). They have to see the IRE fielding, simply top class.

The way Ireland is bowling and fielding, they deserve to reach the quarterfinals. Hopefully they will bat better too. Would be nice to see Ireland reaching the quarter.
