H_Fan:

We'll talk about tennis later. Any comments on Bashar's batting in Karachi yesterday?

KALBAISHAKHI:

You are 100% correct. Bashar's ratio of 50's to 100's is quite startling. there is no doubt he is a class batsman. But something happens to him once he is past 50. Is it physical stamina, mental fatigue or, something else... Hopefully team management can help him out with this. He has tremenduous potential with the willow.

Sorry H_fan:

I got a little excited and carried away with the first three day's cricket in Karachi...

Agassi is great. Probably the second most naturally gifted tennis player I've evr seen after John McEnroe. The way he takes balls on the rise on the half-volley on both the forehand and backhand side is quite impressive. Not being a very tall person 6'2"-6'5" range, his serve is not as potent as Pete's. His two handed backhand also limits his reach in the backhand. Really an exception rather than the rule as a product of the Nick Bolleterri Academy. Not as methodical or mechanical as the others. The breakup with Brooke Shields was the very best thing to happen for his tennis. He came back focused and resolute. Has the benefit of good genes. His father was a Iranian Olympic weightlifter. Lives in Las Vegas these days. I had the opportunity to gawk at his house last month from the outside: modest by millionnaire standards.

Cheers.
