Match Thread: BanglaCricket XI v South Africa, 2nd Test (Simulation)
Well tomorrow starts the second test of this African tour and we have the previlage of playing at one of the best sights in cricket. Newlands in Cape Town. It was a very disappointing test in Port Elizabeth and Rafiq has been dropped as a consequence and a lot of work has been done with the bowlers throughout the week. The bowlers took a total of 4 wickets in the last test and offspinner Navarene has been brought into the squad. The pitch is expected to take spin

That's really dissapointing. Good luck to Navarene though!

Hello and welcome to Newlands for the second test of this three test series. If South Africa win they will claim the series and BanglaCricket will do everything in their power to prevent that. They have replaced Rafiq who was extremely disappointing at George's Park and Navarene has been brought into the team. The weather won't play a major factor in this one

Coin Toss
*Captains shake hands*
Match Referee: Call in the air
Ehsan: Tails
*Heads*
Smith: We'll have a bat
Reporter: That's a bit of a strange decision on this pitch
Smith: Yeah but I'm confident we can put a huge total on the board and then our bowlers will do the rest
Reporter: And no changes from PE?
Smith: No we want to keep the winning team, everyone performed in the first test
Reporter: Ehsan, not too disappointed with that?
Ehsan: No not at all, if I won the toss I would have bowled
Reporter: Do you think you can bounce back today?
Ehsan: Definitely, in Port Elizabeth our bowlers were short of match practice and a bit overawed by the occasion. I don't think that will happen here.
Reporter: But this is one of the most beautiful cricket grounds in the world
Ehsan: Maybe so and we'll enjoy playing here but you learn from you're mistakes and we're just going to focus on playing cricket
Reporter: And the change
Ehsan: Yeah we've given Rafiq a break he was rather disappointing in Port Elizabeth and Navarene has been brought into the side for him

Pitch Report
Well this pitch is a little bit damp after some recent rain but it looks like the weather will hold off for the duration of this match. It will be hard to bat early on in the match so the decision to bat first from Smith was an interesting one. The pitch should dry and flatten out during the middle of the match but it will crumble by day 5. It looks a lot more helpful to the spinners than in the first test

I thank the think tank for keeping faith on me. Hope the pitch will have some early cracks for me to hunt some SA blood. We desperately need to bounce back after being humiliated in the first Test and I assure you guys I will give my 200% to clinch the victory. And oh, as a senior member of the team, Rafiq's good luck note is surely inspiring! Now bring em on.....

29.4 Navarene to Dippenaar, OUT, Turns back from outside off, Dippenaar takes a stride forward and gets hit on the pad just outside off stump. A loud appeal and the umpire raises the finger yet again.
Dippenaar lbw b:Navarene 15(46b)
Navarene strikes in his first over on African soil and that will be lunch on day 1. One which was pretty even but the late wicket of Dippenaar swung the pendulum slightly in favour of the bowlers. Bourny was very good in his opening spell and overall the spirits of the tourists are much higher than they were last week

Nav struck is his first over! Already justified his inclusion I see. Keep up the good work, and let's knock 'em over fast.

62.4 Chinaman to Kallis, one run, 100! Kallis cuts straight to backward point, Nasif with usually safe hands puts it down and they scamped through for a single
Kallis not out 100(157b 13x4)

88.5 Navarene to Prince, OUT, Another one goes! The ball turns sharply away from leg, Prince pushes forward gets the edge and Pundit takes a great diving catch at first slip
Prince c.Pundit b.Navarene 0(9b)
A collapse here late on Day 1 has brought BanglaCricket right back into the match. Boucher comes in now to face the music

Things looking good but they have already put up a good score. We need to wrap up the tail ASAP.
